Won't they die off before you can count them? Interesting idea though - turns three power into flying and card draw. Something potentially powerful and also likely to mess yourself up with.

Doesn't seem like it really needs the green in hte cost though?

State Based Actions (one of which is burying creatures with toughness 0 or less) only happen right before a player gains priority, so not while an ability is still in the process of resolving.

The green is indeed not strictly necessary.
