It's a nice concept I think, even if it's a bit wordy.

The name I just find unimaginative. Maybe something like 'Asserting ...' or 'Bear Down'?

Also, "At the beginning of the next end step, ... " ?

My original intent is that you get this back whenever your opponent blocks - eventually allowing you alternate between turns you get blocked and turns you don't.

That's why there is no "next". You are otherwise correct about the more modern template refering to the end step rather than end of turn.
