Colorshifted Death Grasp.
Green's life gain is typically restricted to its creatures. I don't think you can have "gain X life" on a RG card
Green had the first "gain X life spell" with Stream of Life and is actually about equal in having such spells with white over the years with Dawnglow Infusion and Nourishing Shoal. Black might be the only color to get more "gain X life" due to Swallowing Plague variants.
It is actually the case that "gain X life" effects for
are quite uncommon in all colors that get them (because "where X is foo" is just a more fruitful space), but in the colors that do get it, there is no clear favorite by pure numbers as far as I can tell.
Wouldn't this obviously be red-white? You know, Energy Bolt, Lightning Helix, Zenith Flare and the like.I suppose that wouldn't be "spicy" enough as a colorshift?EDIT: Derp, I though it was just a colorshift of some general monoblack Drain Life card. Death Grasp doesn't really in itself have much of a reason to be white. Eh, whatever.
I thought they had moved straight up life gain out of green, but I guess not
> White and green are the two colors that will have effects that simply gain a player life.
