real name
tweaked P/T
>"Reanimation" (Return a creature card from a graveyard to the battlefield.) > >Primary: black > >Secondary: white, red, and green > >Tertiary: blue > >Black is the best at bringing the dead back to life. It has no real restrictions on what it can bring back. White tends to reanimate smaller creatures, usually with a converted mana cost of 2 or less. It will occasionally reanimate a creature type that is mostly white (things like Angels or Humans). Red has Phoenixes. Green has creatures that can bring themselves back from the graveyard. Both black and white will sometimes reanimate a swath of creatures all at once. Blue, on rare occasion, can make a copy of a creature out of the graveyard.
But green gets to return anything to hand and make tokens, so this is fine
Isn't white secondary at réanimation ? Green is primary in permanent recursion.
Now Back From the Brink
Also Dual Nature and Parallel Evolution. There's also a few that copy themselves, like oozes and hydras. I think Mirror Image would be a bend in green.
More importantly, green is secondary in reanimation, so in that light, this is fine
Would you say green could have Mirror Image?
Does it? The only examples I can come up with are Spitting Image and Bramble Sovereign, and I guess populate and Rhys the Redeemed, which only apply to tokens.
Green gets to make copies of its own creatures all the time. The closest to making tokens of dead creatures is Gyrus, Waker of Corpses. This version has shown up once or twice in each color. Green gets a little reanimation, though that's mostly black. This card is a bit of a bend
Interesting green ability. Has that been seen before in green? The closest I can think of off-hand is Spitting Image.
See Jace, Master of Illusions.
Yeah. He's a Lord of the Unreal, to protect them from your opponents
...uh. So they're hexproof, but if you do target them, they die? I guess they keep the second bit even after Jace dies, so maybe? Kinda strange.
Card design challenge: uncommon planeswalker
Ok; I like the idea that Capybara and Chupacabra are the same thing. Just when you poke it enough to be annoyed.
Given that, I wholly approve of everything about this creature. It just needs some flavour text about how it, um, unsucks goats. Mayyyybe need to be careful on wording that :)
This was meant as an inverse Ravenous Chupacabra, since I always get the two confused for some reason. Hexproof from creatures doesn't stop fight spells, but at least it stops effects like RC or ETB fight. The second ability was also a spoof: instead of "when I enter, bad things happen to other creatures," it's "when other creatures enter, good things happen to me"
Capybara are the BEST giant mutant gerbils. Hippo's just can't compete.
I like the hexproof modification. Though I would have thought green would have hexproof from spells. Since this ability stops something from fighting it.
That is indeed appropriate for this particularly lazy green creature; I guess :)
Wizards really cramping my style with all the 5c commanders they're printing in Modern Horizons
oh i see.
Yeah it makes sense then.
