Can we cut this for a bigger burn spell, like just increase all the costs and the damage?
We can easily cut back on the removal in black, as far as I see it Asphyxiate is the only one that really fits for me. We should also have a big removal spell, Downfall , but aside from that the rest could be cut for other options.
I like the "untap steps until next turn" thing, mixes with the Unbound interaction thing we have going.
Added to skeleton.
Removed from skeleton.
See Merciful Fate.
Surprise blocker? Third use of a creature with unbound and a tap ability? Small p/t boost?
Simple combat trick with additional uses in a set with inspired.
So we need to replace this with something apparently.
Does the cheap blink by itself serve a purpose in this set. Otherwise I'd go for something more offensive like a spell that taps target creature until your next turn or a combat trick?
reduced power by 2, now a 2/1.
Changed to trigger when a creature you control dies on the front side, changed to drain when a creature dies on the backside
I agree that it's more flavorful!
I dont see this being too powerful at common on the front side, but im going to change it for now.
All our common Auras except for green are negative/removal stuff. I usually want one positive common Aura per color in the first draft.
At least white and black could probably do something cool with it since they also are supposed to like enchantments a little.
One could move the global enchantment DFCs to uncommon.
Yea, the cycling cost being equal, given that it does the same thing on ETB, is weird. It should be lower than the casting cost.
or
. Or even just
.
Changed p/t from 4/3 to 2/2, more flavourful as well as balanced
Why does this card have the same cycling cost as its casting cost? Id rather change its p/t to 1/1 to try and balance it, or just change one of the costs, as Legend pointed out there is no real incentive to cycle this atm.
My original comment on this was flagged, and the original point still bugs me. This shouldn't be a common.
I mentioned a little while ago that we already have quite a few reprints. I'd feel bad to load this set with any more reprints than it already has.
I did so. Though now it's just a higher costed version of what it originally was :P
Take Silent Artisan and put it here?
Changed to 2/2.
Id probably do 2/2
So does that mean just changing it to 2/3? Or do you mean literally a color shifted version of that card? While we do need some vanilla cards, I'd hate to take an unbound card and make it into something more plain.
Was the increase in power necessary? I somehow want to turn this into a colorshifted Anaba Bodyguard.
I dont think thats too big of a problem, as they dont just search for lands they give an bonus to a creature too. If they just had basic landcyling then I would defiantly agree.
I can agree with this being too strong but I dont think it's too complex. Making a token at the beginning of the end step is pretty simple. Although some of the DFC are a little complex its fine to have a few of those at common. Plus you usually only have to worry about two abilities, at most, at any one time.
I really dont think thats a problem at all. Alabaster Kirin is a 2/3 for 4, and 3/3's with flying + another effect are normal in blue.
I can agree that we don't want to overdo the triggered abilities, but it makes sense to me that cycling as a trigger is going to be a staple theme on some portion of cards. Maybe just not as many as we have designed around it.
Nah, not really, it feels pretty much like Bloodrush, just a bit better because of the versatility.
