This is a great thematic card that does well representing the creative aspects of becoming part of the manifestations of imagination that Elementals are in the world. I'd like to have more "mundane being/thing becomes something greater more impressive" flavor.
I want a more visible white-blue draft-theme. The playstyle can stay the same, but they could use some definition to make them stand out more as a buildable theme. No idea where to go with that yet.
Mechanics that this set could have or riff on:
I wonder what it means to think of cycling as a way of "traversing/exploring your deck" and how that relates to the mechanics we have and whether we really could make the act of cycling feel more evocative of exploration. Cards like Fatal Smite would make for intriguing discoveries.
I personally thought about a (nonkeyworded) mechanic that said "~ costs
less to cast for each card you cycled or discarded this turn." Such cards that you are happy to "uncover" by cycling are why undergrowth also seems like a fascinating potential addition.
Current themes:
I think the flavour does demand that the exile not be optional. And it's really neat flavour.
I thought it might be strictly better than something. :) Thanks for confirming for me.
mana cost:

Erm, this is a strictly better Night's Whisper which is concerning, but to me most alarming thing is the "exile two cards from your graveyard" alternative cost is quite easy thing to do. Kinda seems like this should say "and exile... " instead of "or".

BTW, Xibal Shaman from my branch would fit perfectly into the UG02 Unbound slot, which has no contenders. And I recall you liking it.
With the new Unbound, an artifact like Solar Crucible also could potentially fill UA01 or UA03.
It's true that Red and Green are supposed to be the stronger Discovery colors.
Yeah, but Emori Seer is already listed as competing card. I added this one as well, but I like the shorter rule text more right now.
I recall, that there was a conscious push to reduce the amount of discovery in common in white, blue and black.
Well, it serves its function. Though is no longer a discovery slot.
I'd argue this or something like it could replace Yaados Visionary.
Replacement for Vampiric Bargain.
It's mostly full, but also has a number of cards that could easily be replaced.
Depents on proper development. Right now common is mostly full anyway.
Please do not just put the new text, when you change a card. Everyone can see the new text, it's the previous text that gets replaced that you want to keep a record of.
Deadbridge Shaman is the closer reference. I suppose this is technically a step better, since it functions more like Coercion. One minor way of trying to balance for pushing it would be changing cost to
