If the combination is impossible (eg. "design a monored card" and "design a monoblue card") or trivial (eg. "design a red card" and "design a monocoloured card"), roll again. But feel free to try to fulfil it if you think it'd be interesting.
I'm not sure how hard this will be but I thought it was interesting.
I debated saying "if you roll #73 you win automatically with any submission for the other challenge" or "if you roll #73, roll again and fulfil all three other challenges" but decided it was simpler to exclude it :)
Hoo boy, this was a doozy. Challenge # 028 and Challenge # 056. Design a top-down artifact based on an idea given in the comments, plus design a circle of five coloured cards which synergise with the adjacent cards but not the others.
I used up most of the plausible suggestions left on challenge 28, and I had to make them all coloured artifacts. I don't think they should go in the same set, as they're too different, but I think they they just about fulfil the conditions of the challenges.
I'm pleased at how plausible some ended up, after not having had any good ideas for them the first time round.
Hanging gardens synergises with the two equipments because they can tap, but not the two artifacts which already have a tap ability.
Lightning hammer deals damage which turns on guillotine, but doesn't especially combine with the other equipment, and doesn't grant toughness or tap, so isn't helped by essence of vitality.
Guillotine can be untapped by essence of vitality, but doesn't have anything to do with superhero cape. (Um, unless you use them both as an inf/inf blocker? Do I need to change the cape?)
@Link I don't think it's quite impossible, but it's bad enough, certainly feel free to roll another :)
I don't think "lose the game" is entirely antithetical to Tammy/Timmy. I think Tammy/Timmy doesn't usually like drawbacks that reduce cost (because they make the pay-off less awesome), and doesn't like downsides that are risky (like Slaughter Pact, where even though the chance of not being able to pay is very low, it's scary).
But I think Phage the Untouchable works for Tammy/Timmy because when it works, it's awesome, and Tammy/Timmy has control over whether the downside happens. There's a risk that they'll be stuck with Phage in hand and a way of circumventing the cost and not be able to use it -- but they don't expect that to happen, any more than they don't expect to have the mana available to pay for her.
Admittedly, it's going to be very very hard to squeeze that onto a one-mana card...
The one edge case I forgot was what if you got the same challenge twice? Fortunately I got Challenge # 021 twice, which is just about susceptible to solving twice over.
I made three creatures with TWO new creature types. The first was phyrexian, since wizards have admitted that could have been a creature type from the start, and it's easy to make phyrexian-looking cards. Then I chose three different obsoleted or never-made creature types that I thought would be supportable: Noble, Scavenger and Merchant.
I'm going to let the previous roll of #039 go, and roll again. This time I get: Challenge # 096 and... Challenge # 073! I managed to roll 73?! So I guess I've been given a triple challenge doozy?! The second pair for 73 turned out to be Challenge # 103 and Challenge # 106.
So that's... "design a dinosaur" which "has creature type Giant" and is a "hybrid-mana-only Ravnica guild charm".
Okay. As triplets go that's not too impossible. Created Skaargan Charmosaur.
Yeah, it's surprising how many combinations are either trivial, or not quite impossible but definitely a real struggle. I rolled Challenge # 052 + Challenge # 089 which sort of made sense, but I really struggled to think of an unplayable spell which became broken with a 5/5 body :)
Likewise, ooh, I'm excited a triple challenge came up! :)
Next I was given the challenge to design a rare from Dragon's Maze (Challenge # 070) that was an entire new card type (Challenge # 031). I came up with the champion type, with Emmara Tandris and Mirko Vosk as examples.
I rolled up some more. This time I decided to keep my life simple, and pass any challenges that required something other than designing a card. There were surprisingly many. But I ended up with "design a four card cycle" and "design a card for an iconic pbject" which worked ok:
Now I rolled 073 again. My first two were, a card from norse legend, and a multicolored phoenix. OK, that's QUITE challenging. Then I rejected a whole bunch of challenges that didn't quite fit, for cycles, or for requirements I decided were actually impossible with the existing constraints.
I wondered about "four color" but decided there was a severe lack of Norse phoenices, and none of them were convincingly four-color. Nor could they include "win the game".
I settled on "a two-color card which follows a different philosophy to its ravnica guild".
OK, so lets go with Gullveig, who was impaled on the spears of the gods and roasted to death three times, each time reviving with more arcane knowledge. That's... reasonably phoenix-y, VERY VERY NORSE, and really not very Izzet.
Choose two previous design challenges. You can get two random numbers from 1 to 72 from:

Made Probability Enhancer, a chance-related dragon's maze card, and Spirit of the Land, a mythic rare land/counterspell.
“Oh Dear”, Said Tiger for "Un creature creep" + "Tokeniser"
Does a combination of Challenge # 044 and Challenge # 059 count as impossible? Gleesh. Brainstorming. I might reroll...
Challenge # 046 and Challenge # 068 popped up, forcing me to make a horizontal or vertical cycle out of a broken card that I needed to fix. End result? Reverse Boomerang, Flying Guillotine, Anti-Summoner Vestiments and Reverse Katana.

Hanging Gardens
Lightning Hammer
Guillotine
Essence of Vitality
Superhero Cape

Essence of vitality animates the cape.

I made Noce Leran, Eternal Savior and forgot to add it here. It tries to satisfy Challenge # 044 and Challenge # 059.

I made: Phyrexian Scavenger, Phyrexian Swarmleader and Poisoned Peddler.
I made Terror of the Underdark and Birth of Understanding to satisfy Challenge # 005 and Challenge # 064 simultaneously.
/me boggles in awe at Jack's five-card circular synergy cycle fitting the flavour of five items from the comments!
And rolling for myself, I roll Challenge # 029 and... Challenge # 039?! Buahaha. Okay, I'll give it some thought...
A belated entry Mass extinction, fulfilling "CMC 12+" and "based on a real-world event".
Next I rolled Challenge # 071 and Challenge # 106. Well, that's trivial, then :)

School of Merfolk, an animal-group-noun pun name that exemplifies an anti-Izzet UR philosophy :)

Phoenix Force #4
Garden of Surprise
Go Forth // Multiply
Phoenix Falls
Smackdown
Luckiest Spider and Biggest Giant
Boros Banner
Disawraith
Superb // Owl
Aye // Low View
Emrakul, That's Torn It
Added The Devil's Due. Also am thinking about making a new challenge. It's been too long, and Jack is chomping at the bit. ;)
I rolled up some more. This time I decided to keep my life simple, and pass any challenges that required something other than designing a card. There were surprisingly many. But I ended up with "design a four card cycle" and "design a card for an iconic pbject" which worked ok:
Sword of Griffindor, Diadem of Ravenclaw, Slytherin's Locket, Hufflepuff's Cup
Nick of Time for Challenge # 133 and Challenge # 150
This was one of the few times I felt I managed a submission that fit fairly well into each challenge separately.
Spinning Wheel
Challenge # 047 and Challenge # 119. Well, I already made Magpie Child so I added New Changeling

Phelddagrif Cub for Challenge # 007 and Challenge # 140
