Your aware that the bouncing is optional at the moment? You could make the bounce an additional cost and then make this a touch cheaper?
The uses are very different. Sleep is very powerful because it allows two full attacks against the opponent. The Sleep / frost ability is primarily blue can bleed in white with Entangling Trap and Kor Hookmaster.
Let me see if I can differentiate this a bit more. I wonder what a

sorcery called "Lockdown" can do? I originally tried something like "Creatures target player can't block this turn and don't untap during their controller's next untap step" until I realized that it was strictly worse than the pure white Sleep. haha.
It's white for two reasons, actually - First, like you said, it's a "soft answer" similar to Oblivion Ring. second, it's a "taxer" or "punisher" card, one that I actually patterned after a soft Meddling Mage + Standstill.
It may not look good on paper, but two cards for
is pretty strong, actually, and I'm never unsatisfied to draw this card. :) Imagine the PvZ game where you throw this turn 2 on an empty board and name Hydralisk. As Zerg, there's no freaking way I'd cast the hydra to give you two cards, I'd rather wait till turn three and use a different attacker.
I understand your point, though, a harder lock can be argued for at the cost of
, Draw three cards. That's something I'm looking at as well. :)
I see. This is the Misthollow Griffin argument, isn't it? I can respect that. All right, I'll think of a different ability for him.
GAH, I am so close to destroying this damn creature for color pie violations. Haha.
Currently testing:
Reaver

, Remove a psi counter from ~: ~ gets +2/+2 and gains Vigilance until end of turn.
Artifact Creature - Protoss [U]
Psionic 2
0/3
Still not perfect, but this is ok, I guess.
As the discussion on (((Tactical Nuke))) is going, I think this is fine from a rules standpoint. From an information management perspective, there's just one of each in the deck, so it never becomes much of an issue. Thanks!
Doombringer: Thanks, will fix the symbol. This really should be common.
Alex: Thanks. Thinking of making this "enchanted creature's controller play with his or her hand revealed" a la Telepathy. Not liking the rules ambiguity though.
Ah. I think I get your comment. The return is a may ability. It's basically "draw X cards" with an ability to save, say, 1 unit which is currently being targeted with a kill spell, and that Zealot you have lying around with a spent psi counter.
Rarely happens: Turn 5 EOT (((Mass Recall))) for 2 -> (((Purifier Beam))) is also a devastating play. Even rarer, if this is followed up with Turn 7 Carrier, that's GG.
I'm thinking of making this

, as the white would better represent the "rescue" ability. I mean, it's no Sphinx's Revelation, but in the context of this deck, it's sometimes as strong as that.
Yep, originally it did, but as I mentioned a few comments back, free sacrifices + (((Gamete Meiosis))) was an insta-win. :) This should be ok for the time being.
The more interesting question actually is whether the swarm host should create a Zerg only during your combat phase or even in defense. Haha.
Thanks. The cards don't have to represent all the abilities of the unit it's emulating. In this case, the salvage ability of the Bunker was enough, and plays well.
I kind of understand what you mean though, SC bunkers are more well known for being infantry support rather than this secondary ability. It's like, I don't know, I made a Medic with Optic Flare as its ability rather than healing.
Mystic Barrier! Wow, that's interesting. This and (((Widow Mine))) were made before that card, so "last chosen X" seems to be the correct wording.
Not very often, admittedly, but it does happen, even at common. Glacial Crasher is as modern as design can get so this card tells me it's good.
Skaab Goliath and Thraben Militia for other examples. (admittedly that last one was just flavor for "angry mob".)
And yeah, Siege Tank should have trample but it does enough. Haha.
I don't think so. The phrase "Whenever ~ attacks and isn't blocked" is a common enough phrase in MTG and is phrased the same way - it's a combined condition, so the trigger goes on the stack during the blocking phase, not the attacking phase. :)
Yep, made that mistake, as one of my original playtests showed. Also totally broken when it gives the creatures trample, as my original version showed. Haha.
Thank you. It's a bit of both - for purposes of this deck, there are no equipment, so I didn't feel the need to put the reminder text. But also, I left out "can't be equipped" and "can't be blocked" because noncreatures really can't block, and if I'm not mistaken* I know that when a creature that's an equipment equips something, it stops being a creature.
Yes, I hate it. I agree with Doombringer, kind of confusing. Before, it was simply "When ~ dies while it's attacking...", but someone pointed out that Cathedral Membrane is the correct templating and now it's unintuitively crap. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
I can replace it with "When ~ dies, if it attacked this turn..." which is not the same but similar enough, and avoids two confusing clauses.
rswitzerloot: What Doombringer said. Just the threat of activation and open mana can allow this to be a good blocker, and the threat of an EOT Baneling will make anyone think twice about attacking all-in without keeping even an SCV to block. Also, sometimes the world's tiniest Lava Axe can be snuck through a (((Nydus Network))) and seal the win. :)
The more interesting question I've always faced with this card was whether to cost the ability at
or
. Tiny lava axe is good, but pumping 10+mana into surprise Blaze feels like a cheap win.
Huh. Didn't realize that. That is interesting, isn't it? I was trying to avoid multicolor for Zerg as much as possible (because the gold frames look bad for them), but was unable to avoid it due to the lack of flying in green.
For Protoss, when I squint a bit, a lot of the units there can actually be monocolor ( Zealot -> White, Arbiter -> Blue, (((Stasis Field))) -> White, (((Mothership))) -> Blue ) but gold frames look really good on them. Hope that doesn't muck up the color pie much.
Great catch. Will be fixing that in the next art render update.
Yep, I did, plays better as an instant. :) Gameplay tension to the defending player whether to block by a bravely attacking Marine (which when hit by a Stimpack with open mana can potentially deliver 9 damage) is more significant than the tension given to the caster when making it a sorcery.
Interesting. I did pattern it after Liliana's Specter, which at
(B) hit all enemies. If you feel that making it splashable would be too much of a power bump, currently testing it at same cost and abilities but has a "~ can't block".
Thanks, totally missed that. Fixed in MWS, will be fixed in next picture refresh.
Then it wouldn't be a triggered ability. This is the correct template according to Cathedral Membrane.
I don't know what the wording was before, but couldn't the current wording be shortened to "If ~ dies while attacking,..."
"as strategy goes" -> "as strategies go"? Given the singular of the later clause?
I do love the way that Zerg tokens are 1/1, Terran tokens (and morphs) are 2/2, and Protoss tokens are 3/3. Nicely illustrates the roles the decks take.
