W -> 1W. before: Enchant permanent // If enchanted permanent would be destroyed, instead remove all damage from it and destroy ~.
I just noticed during the Siege Tank discussion that it's somewhat counterintuitive relative to the computer game that the Viking's ground mode is better in combat than its flying mode. I can't see a sensible fix, because the point in the SC unit is to be a good anti-flyer unit that can shoot badly on the ground if you really need it to. Perhaps a 3/3 flyer with "Prevent all damage ~ would deal to players" that can turn into a face-down 2/2 ground creature?
The new switch keyword would need tweaking to give Viking flying, which makes me think it's not worth it.
Personally I just wish there was some way to represent the Siege Tank's awesome splash damage.
Thanks guys. I like it too, but as Slipstream Serpent's gatherer page discussion shows, it's not obvious how the card is supposed to be played.
I like it as it is.
Is the non intuitive part that it has defender yet is attacking? If so then version 2 (morph, doesn't untap) is definitely my favorite. I don't think the Switch keyword is worth the gameplay or comprehension cost.
I'd like to request for some help / opinions on this card. I really really like it, but I might be letting my affection for the card get in the way. It's really not intuitive that you can attack with it as a face-down creature, then flip it up and smash face as a 5/5 creature. Does anyone have any suggestions on alternatives to this?
Siege Tank

Artifact Creature - Terran Vehicle [U]
Morph
At the beginning of your end step, choose one: ~ gains defender; or turn ~ face down.
5/5
Siege Tank

Artifact Creature - Terran Vehicle [U]
~ doesn't untap during your untap step.
Morph
At the beginning of your end step, you may turn ~ face down.
5/5
or, is a new keyword ok? Note that Hellbat and Viking both benefit from this.
Siege Tank

(You may cast this face down as a 2/2 creature for
. Turn it face up or down any time for its switch cost.)
Artifact Creature - Terran Vehicle [U]
~ doesn't untap during your untap step.
Switch
5/5
Actually looking at Avacyn's Collar makes me think this should be worded: "When CARDNAME dies, if it was attacking, defending player loses 4 life."
Ok final wording suggestion: "When CARDNAME dies, if its attacking, defending player loses 4 life."
Or just ignore the templating team and use the intuitive wording?
If you can say "when ~ is put into the graveyard during combat" I don't see why you can't say "when ~ dies while attacking" just the same way.
It is nice. For the name, I'd really like to employ scry somehow.
Scry 3, then draw a card? Every colour gets cantrip.
FWIW, I really like this.
Could potentially just be changed to Wild Guess
By far the most complex card on you list. This could be potentially fine to keep but really what you need to do is playtest this a figure out is this worth the complexity. If player's are really enjoying that card and making the effort to figure out how it works then keep it. However if the gameplay isn't worth it then consider changing to something simpler.
This seems very weird that it works in the opposite direction to all the other psi cards. Why not give this Psionic 2 and then have the counters removed rather than added.
This card needs changing... Ok alternate wording time: Whenever CARDNAME attacks, it gains "When it dies, each opponent loses 4 life." until end of turn.
OR
CARDNAME cant block. When CARDNAME dies during combat, each opponent loses 4 life.
OR
Sacrifice CARDNAME: Each opponent loses 4 life. Activate this ability only if CARDNAME is blocked.
To prevent rule confusion and tone down complexity a tiny bit why not either add reminder text to the current version or turn it int a enter and leave the battlefield trigger?
Glad your keeping an eye on complexity.
I'll go through each of the cards on your complexity list and give my thoughts.
I really like the inevitability that this can give.
I think changing this to the mana leak wording is a good move. Consider that Mana Leak is now considered slightly too powerful, maybe just make this a Mana leak with the UU casting cost.
Probably want this at sorcery speed?
reduced cost from 3W -> 2W, made it sacrifice itself as well. Now more strategic
previously: You may have that player exile that card face down.
x1uu -> xwuu
can't block.
