ran out of names. Filler card. Maybe this should be "Chrono Boost".

So I don't really know if this is any good.

This seems really weird and never good in practice.

If I want to intentionally bounce my own stuff for triggers and such, drawing cards is not useful. If I want to draw cards, having to bounce my board is not useful; even bouncing lands is not a good idea because I'll be needing those to toss all those cards I draw back on the board. If I just use this as a value play to bounce something that would otherwise end up dead, it's crazy expensive. Most likely it'll just be a cantrip so I guess I could pay 4 for 'bounce one of your dudes, draw', which is really anemic, or I guess I could pay 5 to toss a land into the mix and draw evne more cards, but then immediately regret bouncing a land.

This probably isn't really blue, but what happens if you replace 'draw x cards' with 'at the beginning of your next main phase, add X mana in any combination of colours to your mana pool'?

Now I can bounce my team in response to a sweeper or some such if I have mana up (still an issue, but possible), then next turn unload almost all of them right back onto the board. You can probably cut the cost by a point too for this.

Ah. I think I get your comment. The return is a may ability. It's basically "draw X cards" with an ability to save, say, 1 unit which is currently being targeted with a kill spell, and that Zealot you have lying around with a spent psi counter.

Rarely happens: Turn 5 EOT (((Mass Recall))) for 2 -> (((Purifier Beam))) is also a devastating play. Even rarer, if this is followed up with Turn 7 Carrier, that's GG.

I'm thinking of making this {x}{w}{u}{u}, as the white would better represent the "rescue" ability. I mean, it's no Sphinx's Revelation, but in the context of this deck, it's sometimes as strong as that.

Your aware that the bouncing is optional at the moment? You could make the bounce an additional cost and then make this a touch cheaper?

Yep, it's meant to be optional. It's ok from a power level in playtesting. Is it unintuitive though?

Before:

Mass Recall {x}{u}
Instant [u]
As an additional cost to cast ~, return X permanents you control to their owner's hands.
Draw X cards.

  • Removed the X to simplify things and limit power.
  • In any other deck.. this is an absolutely crap card. Here, eh, not so much. Pretty strong actually.
  • A bit worried about the cost. Seems like it's doing too much for {2}{u}. Maybe {1}{u}{u}? nah

Replaced with (((Maelstrom))) due to this being too swingy.
