Will the set have a higher-than-usual density of equipments? 'cause this would read SO much better as "activated abilities of artifacts". Leonin Shikari was rare, but only because there were LOTS of equipments in that block. Plus no color seems set for an equipment theme anyway.
I've now removed Crew and formed it into a vertical cycle
Personally I'm not super keen on the "number of artifacts" part. I'm not very invested in the set design admittedly, but it just doesn't feel white.
Any potential in
/
keyword + "P/T equal to the number of artifact creatures you control"?
Now part of a vertical cycle with Pressgang Airship and another yet to be designed card.
Removed Crew
can't crew itself
Moved to uncommon, removed the crew keyword.
This reads so bad at
for a 2/2 and two 1/1's all with flying? I think the current version is actually probably fine.
UG-->GU
Talrand's Invocation is interesting precedence.
Moved from RW to mono white
added nonland clause, moved from UG to mono blue
Needs a new name and is now replacing Limit Overflow which I've made mono blue.
removed haste, changed from RW to UG, Rare to uncommon
Crew playtested better than expected but due to having narrow design space is probably going to be removed as a keyword and replaced with a vertical cycle of with the now unkeyworded mechanic.
For uncommon I'd say this should be 7, or more likely actually should cost
but only provide 4 total power. See Gold-Forged Sentinel, Lumengrid Gargoyle, Scion of Ugin; there's never been an uncommon 5-power flyer accessible to all colours.
"It is against the law for an opponent to control a source that deals damage to you", perhaps? If we're going with the wording as seen on Extermination Agent, anyway.
Is Crew even working out? My impression was that it didn't playtest well so far.
Alternatively, do we want
to be the Crew pair? Historically, they've been big on go wide as well as equipment and artifacts. With that in mind, we can keep this as is since "the other revolution deck" isn't that strong of a cohesive theme at the moment.
Thoughts?
Yes, especially since players don't deal damage according to magic templating.
