Color ordering

Whether in {w}{u} or {r}{w}, I really like this card.

Me too :) Obviously moving to UW just because that is the Consul deck colors

Do we want to move this to a different color? RW doesn't strike me as an artifacts matter pair. I still like the card though.

Aside from set specifics, 1his is 100% in-color. White gets the p/T equal to critters you control (and red has had it before). Red can care about artifacts. Personally I don't feel that two blue (Master of Etherium and Broodstar, but note Slag Fiend) cards are enough to tie the "p/t equal to the number of artifacts you control" ability 100% into blue, but that's just me.

I'm not saying this card isn't in color. It is. I just don't think we want our only RW uncommon slot to encourage Artifacts if our RW mechanic isn't related to artifacts at all.

Currently, our RW archetype is revolution aggro, with slight dips into Justice (from the white) and Renown (from the red). There is no need for Artifacts to play a part in this. Since we are not a heavy multicolor set we need our two color uncommons to really focus in on what we want that particular color pair to do.

Mono White seems fine to me. Any objections?

Just two:

  1. Seems a slight conflict with Isolated Citizen.

  2. White has no artifact themes in its mechanics. If we wanted to encourage this for the color archetypes, then sure, but it feels like mixed signals. Edit: Eh, I guess it has thopters with {w}{u}, but the thopters are more from blue anyways

Yeah, I don't think this card seems too needed. It'd make more sense in monowhite though, just as a random one-off card, rather than an archetype signal.

Alternatively, do we want {r}{w} to be the Crew pair? Historically, they've been big on go wide as well as equipment and artifacts. With that in mind, we can keep this as is since "the other revolution deck" isn't that strong of a cohesive theme at the moment.

Thoughts?

Is Crew even working out? My impression was that it didn't playtest well so far.

Crew playtested better than expected but due to having narrow design space is probably going to be removed as a keyword and replaced with a vertical cycle of with the now unkeyworded mechanic.

Moved from RW to mono white

Personally I'm not super keen on the "number of artifacts" part. I'm not very invested in the set design admittedly, but it just doesn't feel white.

Any potential in {1}{w}/{2}{w} keyword + "P/T equal to the number of artifact creatures you control"?
