But again, being on the opposite side of this is actually really punishing. Scry 2 on a card for a debatably "core" control card, this sets up for a lot of strong lines of play.
This isn't a disgrace. It is solid and likely chronically underrated.

Maybe it should scry only one (scry 2 is unusual at common for incidental scry), but it's worth mentioning that Bone to Ash is

@Vitenka a hatebear is a creature that nearly totally prevents certain strategies. Some famous ones are cards like Spirit of the Labyrinth or Leonin Arbiter

But yeah; nice. A white artifact-lord. I don't think it needs to be 2/1. It's usually gonna be dropping at least a couple of +1's when it arrives; and probably gaining one itself from the inevitable thopter that will join it :)

This should be reworded to not be so secretive about that, if we even want it to trigger itself. Can it trigger on each end step to play well with flash? What if it keeps all the current abilities and also has "
: Create a 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature token with flying." So that you can trigger it even if you don't build around.
This reminds me a little of Talrand, Sky Summoner. That had a vaguely similar hoop, cost 1 more, but made you twice as much flying power.
So the natural solution is to have this create two Thopters. That's certainly eye-opening in a way that this isn't, quite.
Oh... though do note that this is secretly a 3/3 flyer for 3: it triggers itself.

"Prowess includes flying creatures as well as non-creature spells" (although unless upcosted probably no room for prowess on itself)
Or how about looting / sneaky milling?
