I quite like the use of modern artifact token tech to make costless one-shot voltaic keys.

I quite like design concepts that let a card leave around a little something to make you feel extra-good about casting them.

Untapped -> tapped may be necessary to reduce the power level. IDK. Either way you have to canister it twice, but this way you can't also use the upgraded side the same turn (w/o more canisters).

I'd initially made only WUG for a shard cycle. I agree if we're going to make a 5-color cycle, it would be better to weave them all together or loosen these three up.

It is strange that WUG have a cycle of thopter, counter, canister, and then we have BR spells that almost fit. Any way R could make thopters and B could make canisters? Or split up the WUG more, or just have a flavorful reason why WUG are more closely tied.
