Can it draw cards instead of make thopters?

I don't see the point in that? If you have seven or more cards in hand, you don't need help drawing cards, right? I was thinking you might need help winning the game, though, since the rest of your deck is built around getting you lots of cards.

The intent was that this turned into a win-con. I didn't want it to be as inevitable as Psychosis Crawler, though.

Maybe can it cost 1?

It's significantly better than spellbook.

Perhaps the back side ability could be "whenever you draw a card, you may pay . If you do, create a thopter."

Whenever you draw a card, your life total becomes your hand size.

That does not sound like an uncommon

I wanted the backside to work with things other than drawing cards, but yeah, that might be better continuumg.
