My next iteration of the wording is likely to be "Garble fnargle woob."
Well done on improving on CH's wording by removing the full stop after the enchant ability. But I'm not sure why you changed his capitalisation, apostrophisation and step/phase terminology. (FWIW I think precise terminology would be "during its controller's" rather than "in its controller's".)
reword utterly. I really hate enchantment wordings nowadays.
um.... probably, yes.
Do you mean:
"Enchant non-creature artifact.
When ~ ETBs, draw a card and tap enchanted artifact.
Enchanted artifact does not untap in its controller's untap step"?
Fair enough - it's no longer strictly better than Inertia Bubble and is still Paralyze for poly artifacts.
made non-creature
Turns out this is a bit above the curve. Inertia Bubble with a cantrip and an ETB tap. OK, Inertia Bubble was pretty awful. But Eternity Snare did it this with the cantrip but without the ETB tap, on just creatures; Claustrophobia did it on just creatures with the ETB tap but without the cantrip. On artifacts it is a lot narrower, so maybe it can be this cheap... I'm reminded of Spreading Seas, which neutralises a nonbasic land (and turns on islandwalk), and got played a lot in tournaments.
Imi Statue + Rune of the Marsh Sage
Potentially just like removal against artifacts that tap; but that's a seriously limited category, so it's probably ok for blue to get it. Maybe I should have made it "Non-creature artifact"? This is really good against big stompy artifacts.
Yeah, this ended up being really crappy.
Hmm. It's a clever mashup, but somehow it seems to have ended up less than the sum of its parts. It works something like a 3/4 flyer that doesn't hit players so well. Unearth doesn't seem to particularly help the card at all, since unearth is sorcery-speed and only around during your turn; the ability is sortof like pseudo-first-strike and effectively a way for the creature to stay alive better; but it already has 4 toughness so it doesn't really make much difference.
Engulfing Flames + Cockatrice.
Stuffy Doll + Trained Armodon.
Nice. I fear this is one case where it'd be worth deviating from the mashup stats in order to make the card flow better. In this case, I think the damage should match the creature's power, either 6=6 or 7=7.
Bogardan Hellkite + Generic RR creature
Why not sacrifice an artifact or creature to search up artifacts and/or creatures? The lack of symmetry is a bit jarring.
Restricted in Vintage. As a general rule, anything restricted in Vintage is banned in Legacy.
Evidently, the filter for 'format' in Gatherer does not filter out cards that are banned in that format. Good to know.
I'm confused. Are the Moxen legal in Legacy, or not? Gatherer search says they are, but the Wizards website says they're banned.
EDIT: That's annoying. They show up in the Gatherer search for Legacy-legal things, but it clearly lists them as banned on their info page.
Any deck with this and four each of Ornithopter, Memnite, the artifact lands, Lotus Petal, etc. would be very good with this. Very good.
Mashup of Skyship Weatherlight and Burnt Offering.
Virtual cookies to anyone who can design a deck that would get this card banned in Legacy.
Strength of Night + Aura Blast.
Mashup of Lava Blister and Waning Wurm, which ended up being Vexing Devil's big brother. I changed it to a hellion because they're basically red's version of wurms.
