I feel like these cards can be quite hard to get right, decent on their own with a big enough reward to make you want to play them.
Yeah, I believe we talked about red not having enough cycling support even though it was a main cycling color. This slot could go either way imo.
Phew, glad we've got that sorted out now :D Counting the mechanics we've got is helpful, it was the reminder text taking up needless space that was causing the problem. I think I'm going to go through and remove the reminder text from the cards where I don't think it's needed, mainly the evergreen ones. I'll try and remember to write the changes but if I forget thats what it is.
Maybe the way to make this viable as a 3 CMC uncommon would be, instead of saying you may play an additional land this turn, it simply says something like: "You may put any number of lands exiled this way onto the battlefield tapped."
Ah I see, that makes much more sense.
I definitely prefer this to Card74934.

Let's try that!
Well, this can be cost more efficiently. I just went into this thinking we should leave room for another straightforward removal spell at uncommon.
The cycling support slot has another creature. This slot is marked as "discovery". !?
As stated above, I'll surpress the reminder text on new tags. I misunderstood the earlier comments as card-by-card questions.
Sorry for causing so much fuzz. All I wanted to do was to track the keywords. ^^"
I guess my reasoning for still wanting Asphyxiate is that it's in the realm of "relatively cost-effective removal", while Downfall isn't. I like downfall as a land destruction variant for black, but it's not an example of cost-effective creature destruction at 5 CMC. So to me there's a need for both cards. This card can sort of substitute for a cheaper creature removal, but that space being taken by an off-color Discovery card doesn't appeal to me. I figure black should be able to get a cost-effective creature removal option without having to use Discovery.
