(((Other House Arrest)))?
Looks good to me. Compare to Whirlwind Adept
Oooh, Disciple of the Vault would definitely look exciting. Maybe a version that only looked at your own artifacts would be better here, though.
I like it. Normally a 3/2 for 4 is an evasive creature in blue, but this uses something else over evasion. I'd say these stats are fine especially compared to Ringwarden Owl.
name in the card was wrong
Agreed, that'd be nice
Hm, that's a good point, Circeus. Maybe we can get rid of the 'Thopter' restriction on House Arrest at uncommon. It still is clear you want to use the Thopter for it, but then you wouldn't have to.
I agree we could just make it into a Pacifism. 99% of the flavor would still be maintained.

Fixing names
Looking critically at the
archetype, it seems we've overstuffed it, surprisingly. I think we got a bit overzealous in making it work.
Looking to BFZ for inspiration, the life-gain archetype in
is similar - it's a very narrow A/B archetype - yet it shows up in surprisingly small amounts at common.
It has four "A" cards - Courier Griffin, Stone Haven Medic, Tandem Tactics, Kalastria Healer - and two "B" cards - Kalastria Nightwatch and Nirkana Assassin.
Note that the "B" cards really aren't that fantastic. This means they'll float their way to the dedicated life-gain deck - which is good, as it's a narrow A/B archetype. They mostly serve as significers that, if you draft life-gain, you might be rewarded at higher rarities, with cards like Bloodbond Vampire, Defiant Bloodlord, Malakir Familiar, Serene Steward.
You'll also note that the color distribution of the A cards is almost entirely opposite to the color distribution of the B cards. That's intentional; it helps players realize that the life-gain archetype is the
archetype, without needing a
multi-color card.
Anyway, this does pose an interesting question for the set.
has the most obvious A cards - Pioneer Researcher and Prepare a Hideout - so we could make it into the 'A' color. Alongside Soylent Feed and Living Autopsy or Canister Addict, this means we'd be good for A cards. Then
would be the 'B' color, with the payoff rewards.
Unfortunately, our current payoff cards in
are creature-sacrifice centric - (((AEther Corruption))) and Overworked Prole. We probably want to shift Mutated Man into
, and then find one more design for
. Disciple of the Vault could be a fun and exciting card to reprint, and since black doesn't get Canisters or Thopters, it could be safer than you'd think.
Because I find the concept of some flying artificer that crashes if they put on too much weight REALLY funny.
Is it better or worse than Burden of Guilt? Just make it a frickin Pacifism that puts a token into play? Maybe 2W and "sacrifice an artifact: return ~ to your hand"?
This loses a LOT of potential if canisters lose even one common card. There's really not a lot of Recharge left at common (note that there were ten investigate commons).
Seems t me like this could easily gain Prowess, especially since the set currently has no common prowess cards. Makes the hexproof a LOT more relevant too.
Iunno, I think it could make sense if we flavor him as being nonconfrontational. A gentleman thief, you know? Or as more of a political fighter - someone who brings down 'morale' - rather than an actual fighter.
I agree
