Raptor1210? Didn't I just send you an email offering to reset your password? :o)
Actually, milling yourself might not be a bad thing for either, since it wants lands in the graveyard. I'd be fine with it milling one card but 2 might be pushing it.
P.S. this is Raptor. (I can't remember my password for this site XD)
This card could support UR if it ate cards like Deranged Assistant in addition to its U mana cost. Maybe 2 cards?
Looking at this from a commander perspective,it feels like a weaker Memnarch. Is there a better way to do that second ability?
This would have more offensive ability with "enchanted land loses all abilities and gains 'tap: add 1 to your mana pool.'"
I'm fine with that ultimate. Are we going with the [0] fight ability then?
I think that main issue is with the third ability not the first. The Thrid ability is a threshold mechanic of the worse kind (I.E. It's the only card with that particular threshold.)
Given artifacts in graveyards looks to be an important archetype for red, maybe we should be cutting the second ability instead of the first?
What if the ultimate ability was a -X, put X Y/Y tokens where Y is the # of exiled cards?
I've been inspired a bit by the create a theme deck thread on mtgs. I think making a few of those and play running them could do the set a lot of good.
it seems like the answer is "No"
Anyway, how do you like my Ideas?
Has anyone come across anything to talk about recently?
Please remove the last ability, makes it too complex and unintuitive.Especially for an uncommon.
This card seems somewhat underwhelming compared to the rest of the cycle... How about a mill 2/exile the top card of target player's library instead? Target creature gains flying? Tap/untap target creature (either/or, not and/or)?
Love the flavour text
people, I have a few Ideas(also meaning a few topics)
1) for spellsilgers(I know that wrong, Not good at spelling), we can use the Vithian stinger "tap: (name) deals 1 damage to target creature or player" power to show aiming and firing. also we can have musket welding soldier doing the same thing(musket and musketoons are in the 1500\1600's timeframe, with earlier gun coming form the far east(more on that later)
2) (maybe for another set) Steampunk is well known for having lovecraftian horror, and since Eldrazi are like the cthulhu mytheos of magic, we can get more in deep on them.
I'm not saying more "Wipeout the field" cards, but more "Great Race of Yith" and "elder Things" beings with time warping and horror abilities, and some "flying krakens" and other beasts, and maybe a Eldrazi planewalker
3) as said earlier, the far east seem to be a good place of "old ways batting new tech", japan was having a Civil war during the 1870's
I think dude might be right. The fight mechanic is probably the way to go. I disagree with the idea that two [0] abilities looks weird though. I think it looks and works just fine. :)
We've been having a disscussion over on salvation about archetypes for each of the color pairs in triple Archester draft. What is everyone's thoughts on the subject? What should the draft decks of each color pair look like?
To me, it seems silly that it would have both first strike and double strike.
Just leave the first two abilities. Usually by land 4 it's a first strike haste 3/3, which is pretty swell in set of 2/2 creatures.
I'll note that for my analogous card, Autonomy Processor, I found the shorter reminder text "(An Equipment or Connector that's a creature can't be attached to anything.)"
The text is a little small on this in MSE. Should we just change this back to March of the Machines?
I think this card needs to be trimmed down a bit. MaRo has talked at various times about how threshold mechanics are always complexity sinks and this one feels like it is no exception. Whatcha guys think we should do about this one?
Something that I think we should think about is adding this reminder text to our Twobrid cards, or atleast the common ones...
({2/C} can be paid with any two mana or with {C.}. This card's converted mana cost is N.)
Ah, OK, cycle orders is a fair point.
It's ordered the way it is because of the cycle. The cycle goes . If we put the "White" ability first it would break the symmetry of the cycle. Although you're right it probably should be only one creature.
Or if it is meant to be green Overrun and white Dragon Blood, at least swap the order.
"Suppose Pale Moon didn't suck anymore..."
I think that one of the things that is going to define this limited format is whether you're going to be able to Steampower your bombs. yeah you might be silencing them but its just as possible that you've empowered them to easily steampower all their steampowered cards. Also, it doesn't stop them from casting artifacts or Twobrid spells. I think it's just fine, it's not a Time Walk...
