Mash-up of Nambu Type 14 and Simian Battlehelm (which has the most awesome name), making this another meta-mashup.
Yeah, I considered trying to restrict it to effects under the opponent's control, but I guessed it would normally not come so I left the combo potential open.
Both are kinda vulnerable to Twiddle abuse. Which seems reasonable to me.
Mashup of Pooling Venom and Dragon Fodder
I'm not sure about the cost; ideally the number of goblins would be a bit less swingy.
But I like the idea that if you can play this on turn 2 or 3, you may well get a couple of goblins out of it (or more in a monored deck). And then later on it acts as a bigger deterrent but will probably not be used. That is, if your opponent has any redundancy on lands at all, they'll normally be able to avoid using the land without any real setback, but if you can get it on an overpowered ability land, it can potentially shut it down. (It obviously doesn't help against scapeshift+valakut, but then, nothing except countermagic or ivory mask does.)
Come to think of it, maybe this would be better in black as "lose life equal to the number of swamps you control"?
Only Blood Ends Your nightmares + Hollowed Out Run
Evil Scheme! (Of creature sac or discardness) meets... a rabbit breeder land.
Hmm, we do have a scheme frame... so her'es an excuse to use it.
For rabbits!
Vile Requiem + Justifiable Anger
Huh; black got a wrath before timeshift. I didn't know that. One-sided instant-speed wrath, no less. Albeit with a slowdown.
And an "Enchant Boros Kitten".
Eh; I lack first strike, this'll have to do.
let's not completely outclass the fun fun fungasaur
Ooops, yeah. Probably ought to have made this 1/2. (Would suit the torturer better too)
Hmm, it's a Fungusaur. That was never great at 4 mana, so maybe 2 mana is reasonable for it. I like the reward for pinging it; Johnny will too.
Dirgewater Charm... no, let's try again. Vampirism + Falkenrath Torturer
Ok, vampirism sucks 1/1 from each of your other creatures onto it. Nifty. And the torturer makes wings out of people.
Hmm, vampire torture. Clearly, this needs to be a sunlight card.
Final result... Meh.
Hmm. I find it interesting that you chose to make this an enchantment over a creature. I can see your reasoning behind making it an enchantment, but like this, I would say that the best place to stick this card is in a deck with zero creatures. Combined with, say, Aether Flash, you've pretty much locked some opponents out of the game.
Reminds me of Sunken Hope a bit. This does have the white balancing thing, though.
I once tried to combine Sunken Hope with Mistbind Clique, but it wasn't fast enough.
Yes, I can see this. It's a nice defensive card; quite white - and I'm sure people can find tricksy things to do with it when they have creatures they want to bounce.
Four mana feels about right to me. It's more annoying than, eg, Ghostly Prison but less annoying than a wrath.
Mashup of Cache Raiders and Land Equilibrium.
Again, the cards went together quite well. Except I decided that the taxing+bounce was more white than blue.
I wasn't sure exactly what combination to go with -- bounce permanents? Or a choice or permanent type? Or each permanent type? But "creature" was simplest and most interesting.
I'm not sure of the cost. It's probably most useful for creatureless control decks to slow down their opponent; it's quite expensive, but it holds your opponent back a lot if they have to get two creatures to stick before they can start attacking. Would it be too annoying?
And it might be useful to reset your own combo or something. It's a lot less attractive to use on yourself when it's not a decent-sized creature itself, but I decided the simpler version was better.
Dwarven Warriors has been a blue ability for about ten years, yes. Crafty Pathmage, Soratami Mirror-Guard etc. Although it's still in red as well: Goblin Tunneler.
Yes, I think you've achieved that quite nicely. I like it.
Could perhaps be uncommon, since Izzet Guildgate has brought the base effect to common, and this is unlikely to be great in tournaments since it can't ETB untapped.
Heee. Explosive, but needs to get through. And not as mad as Liege of the Tangle. I like it.
Writ of Passage + Volcanic Trachemys
... wait, Dwarven Warrior is now a blue ability? Huh? And a better wall of fire that can usually attack.
Ok, I think we make a puzzle from those pieces. Actually, given the obvious name; it should just have the dwarven warriors ability. Oh well.
