from cycling cost
added 'in any order'
Seems like not working well with enchantment creatures is a problem with this card then. Otherwise I think it works for turning normal enchantments into creatures, which is the basic intent.
Think its meant to curve out into a bounce next turn, but i agree this looks weak. The activation cost could be
or its p/t could be changed. Think I like decreasing the activation cost more though, so it has more use to trigger the 'leaves the battlefield' cards.
The thing about Start Your Engines is that it doesn't affect the base power and toughness of the creatures its affecting. Lifespark Spellbomb was made in a set where there were no animated lands, plus most lands are not creatures in the first place. In this set we have enchantment creatures and to reset their p/t to 0 plus change there type seems like it doesn't mesh well with them. Why would I want to use this to reanimate my Doomwake Giant for it to become a 3/3?
Changed to "doesn't have the same name" to encourage and jibe with Discovery.
That alteration would make sense, rewarding you for a card with a different name instead of the same name.
Yea I changed it just to Scry 3, which makes it feel like a fair uncommon.
Changed to just Scry 3.
This could just scry instead. I prefer this as a uncommon, compared to rare.
Ran across this again when putting the commons into the forum post. I agree with DJK that this is a lot of mana and effort for such a minor effect. 4 mana for a weak creature, and then 5 mana to return it and another creature to its owner's hand is feel bad to me.
I understand that this is meant to compensate for not increasing your discovery when you cast this card, but really I would rather this card let you draw if you played a land which you didn't already have a copy of. The cards should encourage you to use the mechanics in the set, especially the new ones. To introduce a card at common that does the opposite of that seems like something we don't really want to do.
When putting the commons from the skeleton into the forum post, I came across this card again, and it still bugs me that it has a cycling cost of
, which is totally feel bad. I'd say either give it a "if you cycle ~, effect" or reduce the cycling cost or do something else.
Changed to a triggered ability instead of a replacement effect. This should probably be done on most of the cards like this.
I just replaced Discover Territory with this in the skeleton, as it was a problematic design. This works better as a Discovery enabler and ramp spell. Thanks for the contribution! I also added you to the contributors list on the thread on the forum, as even so much as one card makes you a contributor. And I recall you being part of the earlier thread when we were brainstorming the concept of the set.
Took off skeleton. Problematic design.
I worry that this one is too powerful now as a triggered ability. For comparison, see Card74033. I might just take off the card draw part, or consider making this a rare. Otherwise, I fixed the rest of the cards as a triggered ability and they seem balanced still.

Changed to "non-aura enchantment".
It's a little weaker than than Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar's effect, aside from just effecting cycling, in that it's a Portent effect rather than the equivolent of Scry 3.
Regarding SecretInfiltrator's point, if that's the case, there are numerous other cards similar to this that need to be changed, as all of them only refer to general cycling and are a replacement effect. It has bugged me that it doesn't really apply to the landcycling.
I'm not exactly sure why it shouldn't be a replacement effect though, as at least in some cases, it's intended that way. For example, we have a few cards that return to your hand instead of drawing a card on purpose.
One of the reasons for it being this way is a power level concern. The replacement effect is less powerful than the triggered ability version. There's a big diff between getting an additional bonus for cycling and replacing drawing a card. I worry a few of these cards would be OP as a triggered ability. For example, as a triggered ability, is getting a repeatable portent effect for 3 mana really an uncommon?
However, you are absolutely correct that if I switch to a triggered ability, it will properly apply to all cycling. I'll definitely take that into consideration for some of the cards like this.
Secret Infiltrator pointed out that this and its companion card in white seem counter-intuitive in its transform condition. I think it would be better if it transforms if it dies, making it feel like a continuation of the creature's essence and making it feel less like an arbitrary sacrifice of the creature.
Added "attached to target creature" as part of transformation.
