Its just blue enchantment hate isnt that common, it feels like this could be a card in an enchantments matters set.
Maybe replace the vigilance with first strike or something?
I can see the argument that casting an enchantment is easier to use as a trigger than transforming a card, which is what Trader of the Unique is left being based on once we remove the cycling part of the trigger.
This is probably the card of this sort that is most viable, and it's nice that it also does the flicker thing, but I have 2nd thoughts about any of the ideas that transform a card. It just kind of feels cheesy/cheating to me.
Just putting this out as another option for Trader of the Unique. Vigilance would have to be addressed but it might be a smoother fit that the other option.
Well, it's sort of meant to care about enchantments precisely as an anti-card to white and black.
If we make this into small Steel Overser I think that pushes the power level up to rare.
I could also see this version going in one fo the spare slots without too much conflict, because it cares about the small toughness archetype as well at +1/+1 counters.
If we want "large sorceries" to be meaningful, maybe best to favor the larger one. Cards that let you not pay their mana cost also can potentially get OP.
You have a really good point that Swarm's Hunger really goes against the aggro archetype. I'd suggest putting this in and actually taking out Swarm's Hunger. And Swirling Gale can be left behind with no sweat as just not important or fitting.
Competitor for the cards draw slot with Card73501. Both play off unbound, question is small or large?
I'd like this to be in white or black if we use it.
Other colors caring about enchatments in this way still makes me feel bad. Maybe there's another card that could replace this one?
I could see this card potentially being considered a little bit pushed.
I think I prefer Hag Banker for now, just because the
uncommon also returns itself and I wouldnt want two of those cards both at the same rarity.
I prefer the simplicity or straight forwardness, and cost-effectiveness, of Vanish into Undergrowth still. I guess I also feel like this is a "win more" use of Discovery.
I think this is also contesting the discovery removal in black. We currently dont have any -x/-x effects so maybe this is better than the current removal we have?
Think this is good enough to make it into the skeleton.
Added to the skeleton
Out of those two I'd prefer Card74008 because it does the whole unbound synergy thing with tokens, though I can see concerns that it can get OP?
I think this is a decent fit for the
archetype.
Other cards I feel should be in this slot;Card74008 and Card73682. Both feel like build around uncommons while this just makes a token sometimes. I'd want the token creature to be a bit more consistent.
Actually I think this could just as easily go in UW07 or UW08 slot without conflict.
This could be considered for one of the non-specific creature slots. It is off-color Unbound, but we can use a little bit of that in white.
It doesn't need to be done with every card, just particular ones of interest that haven't been considered or critiqued.
I kind of am meh on this at this point. Without the enchantments part, it's basically Gilded Light at uncommon instead of common. The enchantment part was kind of tacked on by me to justify this having been pushed to uncommon, as it originally was a common design.
I feel like this one is more meaningful of a consideration than Swirling Gale, which is more limited and not a particularly important thing for green to be doing.
The only objection I really have to Swarm's Hunger is that it appears that the prevalence of the bottom of library theme is being questioned, so maybe that aspect of it makes it a weak pick.
I think if everyone did it for every card it would be hard to keep track of everthing going on. I'm tempted to just go through and comment on the ones that I feel are intersting enough to warrent a spot. I think we have 130 uncommons right now so commenting on all of them isnt the most efficient way to do it.
Is there enough enchantment removal to justify this? We don't have a ton of stuff that just targets players so its wether we feel that protection enchatments is worth the slot.
If we have a decent number of creatures with flying at uncommon then I could see this finding a home. Otherwise I dont think we can really give it a slot. Crushing Descent barely found a place at common and even now we could probably cut it without causing too many problems.
I'm not sure how it can be done other than just people going through the card file and zeroing in on the existing cards and critiqueing them or putting them up for consideration, though that isn't the most organized way I guess.
I think we only want one type of effect like this. Currently we have Swarm's Hunger but now that
has become the aggro archetype that doesnt seem as fitting anymore. I was thinking about
taking over from it but we also have the small toughness archetype in red so I'm not too sure. I feel like maybe we should have something in blue to bounce, since
is the archetype that could benifit most from that sort of effect.
