73467 is pretty similar to this except this is worse. I'd rather this be changed. Using Discovery as a threshold perhaps? Something like this-

Instant
Target creature gets -4/-4 until end of turn. If your discovery is three or greater, that creature gets -7/-7 until end of turn instead.
Is it really worse? Giving -x/-x is almost always better than doing x damage to target creature. I'm more than willing to change it I just thought that costing
more was appropriate. On another note I think using discovery as a threshold is something we should do more of I think. Right now there's one card in black that also does it.
"Is it really worse? Giving -x/-x is almost always better than doing x damage to target creature." Absolutely, it's better, but I don't think
more better.
Yeah agreed, Im going to change it to the threshold version for now. Another possibility is +X/-X, that way it would be worth about
more.
Changed to care about discovery threshold instead of your exact discovery
I think this is also contesting the discovery removal in black. We currently dont have any -x/-x effects so maybe this is better than the current removal we have?
I prefer the simplicity or straight forwardness, and cost-effectiveness, of Vanish into Undergrowth still. I guess I also feel like this is a "win more" use of Discovery.
I dont think its a win more card. It's following a similar vein to Tragic Slip, which wasnt really a win more card. I'm going to put it in to replace Swarm's Hunger for now, because that was the only card in that gave -x/-x in the current set.
Added to the skeleton
Tragic Slip upgrades from -1/-1 which only removes the smallest creatures to -13/-13 which effectively hits everything.
The upgrade from -4/-4 which hits already covers a wide competetive range to -7/-7 is by comparisson extremely arbitrary.
This is a sorcery-speed Throttle variant that forces itself to use a set-mechanic because it doesn't realize that it already creates interesting - arguably even better - gameplay without the discovery rider.
Removing the discovery clause would improve this card.
