play->battlefield
rr3->3rr. Is a complex firebreathing ok on a common?
Ok, no in-set-way to make it do anything other than untap your opponents creatures and tap all of yours :)
Which, yes, is doing SOMETHING, but not anything terribly useful :)
Yeah, either way is okay. Maze of Ith and Ith, High Arcanist work with both (although their templating is rather odd by comparison with the more standard Gustcloak Runner way of doing it).
That.... probably would work within the rules, but it still wouldn't trigger off dig, because that's neither drawing nor searching. Dig is properly templated as "Look at the top 5 cards of your library. Put one of them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order." The key word is "put", which is neither "draw" nor "search".
But when you say "no in-set way", remember each player does draw a card per turn automatically.
Give it creature type Human then. Or Dwarf Merchant. Or something. That way you keep the pun as well as making it actually fit the flavour.
wither instead of infect, just in case
They are indeed meant to be referencing each other, since Coelacanth actually IS a fish.
I wanted it to be usable both ways, if that's not too powerful for the cost. (Blue will usually want to use it on opponents, but rescuing yourself from mistakes and combat tricks should be a valid use)
Blegh, I really sometimes want to be able to do brackets without that implying 'this is reminder text'.
Without triggering on search, I don't think there's any in set way to trigger it!
"Whenever you draw, or search for, a card"?
This is BEGGING for a misplaced colon, now :)
darn, you mean I can't draw the top "Red Green" cards of my deck?
Traders bring cats with them? No idea.
I liked the pun name on a creature whose main use will be trading off with an opponents beat-stick :)
Why is the trader a cat? Traders (elven, human and dwarven) are quite an iconic part of the DF experience, but I don't get the "cat" reference.
"converted mana cost". Multiverse even supports the abbreviation "CMC" to make it that much easier for you :P
Also, if you're going to have a black dwarf that can sacrifice other dwarves, it feels to me like it should be in a fey mood.
Is it this creature or the player who fights the target?
> "Whenever you draw a card... (Cards drawn from dig, or other searches, count)"
Um. Sorry, but no they don't. If you want dig to count, you'll need to say something very odd like "Whenever a card is put into your hand". Or just let it cope with only triggering on draws, not digging or searching.
That should read "Untap target attacking creature and remove it from combat." as on Gustcloak Harrier and friends.
Are you intending for this to be used on your own attackers, or things attacking you?
This and Coelacanth appear to have the same joke in their flavour text.
Although with that name, it ought to get wither. Blegh. New name needed.
s/3/2/
This would be fine as a 2/2 for
, yes.
Would it work to flip this into the 2 slot
for a 2/2 - make it a knight as well, probably.
Then move the current tim into a 3 slot?
shorten flavour text
typos (lands, not land)
