I agree, let's adjust this.
Confluence wording
Fiery Confluence is what I'd work off of.
Uh, I don't think a transforming land cycle is a good idea. In SOI, there were only six rare DFCs. A land cycle would take up five of those slots...
Infinite loop with co-creation marvel.
Ah, right. Given our current model, that makes more sense.
Why not just creatures entering the battlefield?
4/3? uncommon hill giants look pretty bad without substantial text. That text in this set is surprisingly unsubstantial.
Yeah, I suggested the change to remove this months ago. It just really doesn't quite fit.
That said, we'll still need a low cost sweeper at some point. This will likely need some shifting between red, white, and black.
I Agree
I personally prefer that.
If you would create a Thopter or Canister token, create a colorless 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token with flying and Recharge (Create a colorless Canister artifact token with “
, Sacrifice this artifact: Untap target permanent. Activate this ability only during your turn.”) instead.
You could do something like this but it is weird if you try to create a token copy of a non token thopter.
Ha. I thought this was an empty slot in the skeleton and clicked it to propose This Exact Text.
Good points, Jackal. "The third time ~ becomes untapped…"? Or just go to the tapping version? "The third time Royal Topiary becomes tapped in a single turn, untap and transform it."
Maybe it is infinite, idk.
Do we like this wording? It might need to look more like Remorseless Punishment
Could be unc'd.
In that case, I think we should find a way to not count the normal untap during the untap step. I don't want people to have to remember to tap this at the end of their opponent's turn every time they think they might draw something that will give them the second canister that they need. (Unless untapping it while it is untapped counts, in which case reminder text should say so) What if we count tapping and untap it on transform?
I like this card in general, but isn't the set trying to encourage low-power creatures? Esp in black?
Why is this not infinite, is it supposed to be a replacement effect?
