Nifty. I like this kind of oneoff hoser, like Flaring Pain. (Technically that's a two-off but you know what I mean...)
MaxDymond: [09:29] Thoughts for proper templating?
Honestly? I'd just word it "Whenever a token enters the battlefield, take control of it."
The "half of" is only a weakness quite rarely, people don't like weaknesses, and you've charged six for it. Does "From now on I control the tokens" really break anything; when green and white both excel at enchantment destruction? I guess goblin warrens decks would loathe you.
I wouldn't call Adarkar Wastes a "weak" effect. Mind you, it's weaker without the ability to tap for
on its own, but having Skycloud Expanse grafted on more than makes up for that.
I dunno. I always thought the painlands were plenty good enough - certainly tournament decks when the full cycle was in Standard would play lots of them. But then the Glacial Fortress paradigms started spreading and now Adarkar Wastes is down at $2-$3. So I guess this is fine.
The +2 is pretty strong, but probably fair on a 5-mana mythic walker. The middle and bottom abilities look a bit weak for a 5-mana walker though. The middle might be about right on a 4-mana walker, but 5 mana gets you thinks like Ajani, Mentor of Heroes or Vraska the Unseen: I think it could be either "[-1], Sacrifice a Plant" or "[-3]".
And the animation ability seems very expensive for a scaling effect that might well be pretty small... Oh, although it's permanent rather than a oneoff - I hadn't realised that at first.
For reference finding in future: El Goonish Shive. EGS. Aludraculard. OP. "The Overpowered"
Hmm. I suspect 3. It's easy to do in 3 - e.g. Gideon Jura, Rite of Replication, Donate.
Aha. No, Gideon Jura plus Cytoshape/Mirrorweave will do it. Because this card cares about what types the shuffled card had when it left the battlefield, so I turn one of your creatures into a Gideon, then hit it with this.
Still not remotely broken, as it's a 3-card combo in at least 3 colours, but quite amusing.
What's the fewest number of cards you'd need to create a planeswalker token under your opponents control?
Heh. You know what my first thought was on reading this? "So I just need to put a token copy of a planeswalker onto the battlefield under my opponent's control, and then this will exile their entire library if they don't have any walkers..."
Just call me Johnny :)
Followed Vitenka's suggestion.
Seems like a big upgrade on Ghostly Prison. Probably needs some kind of upkeep clause so that it doesn't just lock down the game completely.
I didn't think there was an off-color for indestructible. It's primary in White and Green, secondary for Black, and tertiary everywhere else, right? Actually, it's probably primary in Artifacts.
Overpowered, but not as overpowered as Sigarda, Host of Herons? :)
A mythic vampire could probably get hexproof in the same way that mythic off-color creatures could end up with indestructible. The card does seem powerful, but more of a rare pushes the envelope than a bananas mythic. Needs to sacrifice humans for more counters. >;)
I guess the original was actually 'prot spells' but I figured hexproof was closest modern equiv.
Seems fine except that it breaks the color pie by being a black creature with hexproof.
