Oh yeah. Stupid kami.
Probably a bit too easy to lock the game with Kami of False Hope? Proclamation of Rebirth at least made you pay 6 each turn to do that.
Indeed, it's a symmetrical Mox on round 1, which is a rather hard-to-evaluate proposition.
I guess. Equally busts it open for the other player; but I guess that doesn't matter since they won't get a turn.
The reward seems pretty big if you can get two to go off, and play a card that costs

on round one. This might be one of those cards that looks not so hot, but, in practice, busts the game wide open. It is a bit like a Mox on round one, after all...
Um. I was sure I made a card on this line; but I can't find it now. Anyhow; I think being down a card is a pretty big punishment for giving every player a land on turn 1. I guess you can be set up for it better than your opponents; but I feel the reward ought to be a bit bigger, or the failure mode should be a bit better than colourless.
Yeah, it does help pay for itself.
I feel like this isn't the best design because most players will want to wait to play it until they can use or as removal, which might cause then to set themselves back on mana.
I later came back and created Kamahl, Beastmaster based on jmgariepy's idea above.
Funny how this ability kinda, sorta costs

. I mean, Banishing Light doesn't add mana to your pool when it enters play to help play for itself.
Banishing Light as a land is quite strong, I admit.
Fixed a typo.
Yow. An upcosted, but harder to remove, prison?
I'd consider that even if it wasn't also usable as a land in a pinch.
They can still use instants. I guess it's similar to Orim's Chant on Isochron Scepter.
Fifth was the last true core set. ;)
Comboes with Vedalken Mastermind for the win?
Sort of like my Aether Diffusion.
I agree the line-break behaviour in comments is pretty annoying. As with most of the most persistent annoyances in Multiverse, it's caused by a third-party library I'm using, in this case RDiscount for parsing Markdown. RDiscount doesn't seem to have configuration options for any of the tweaks to its parsing I'd like to make, so it looks like to fix it I'd need to write my own. Which might not be too hard? But requires some time to work on Multiverse, a fairly scarce commodity these days...
