I wouldn't call Adarkar Wastes a "weak" effect. Mind you, it's weaker without the ability to tap for {1} on its own, but having Skycloud Expanse grafted on more than makes up for that.

I dunno. I always thought the painlands were plenty good enough - certainly tournament decks when the full cycle was in Standard would play lots of them. But then the Glacial Fortress paradigms started spreading and now Adarkar Wastes is down at $2-$3. So I guess this is fine.
