The shaman only gives you a card if your land is untapped. In theory, you could do that off a Mana Elf + Priest of Titania, which is kind of cool... but the most common way to do it is to suspend it, then come into play during your next upkeep when your lands are untapped.
I'll try and make that game into my next card, then :)
And, uh. I can kinda see why you want to suspend the source card for a turn; maybe there's no targets and at least it's a threat. Why would you ever suspend the shaman thoug? It costs more; and a card now is pretty much always better than a card later.
I don't remember a hyperspace battle game.
Phased Spider is itself reminiscent of Nantuko Shaman. This has ended up more like Skullbriar. It's definitely got the feel of Juniper Order Ranger to it, though, so it's an effective mashup.
Yeah, golden ruling it works. No comment on the "Suspend... eh, I'll decide later how long it's suspended for" ability?
Hmmm... that brings to mind that hyperspace battle game. Did I ever bring that to GE?
You could make this work with the ability from Skullbriar, the Walking Grave.
Juniper Order Ranger + Phased Spider
...why is the phased spider an elf, and not have phasing? And.. uh, you can cast it and chose to only have it ETB next turn instead? Kind of odd. Anyway, it's deathtouch reach that deals a point of damage on ETB. Yow! And cheap for an inf/2 spider-style blocker.
The juniper, meanwhile, is "I like hordes".
Ok; I think we can build something here - at least as long as I'm allowed to put counters on things in exile (which I'm not, but let's just pretend)
Thornwind Faeries indeed exist. This is a very printable common you've ended up with here.
add colour indicator; all space cards have them.
Spiketail Hatchling + Disciple of Emmeron
A prodigal archer and a force-spike flyer.
Flying prodigal has been done (it was some kind of faeire I think) - how about a one-shot archer effect instead?
Heavy Ballista + Zanshem, Heart's Betrayal
Eenteresting. A shooty thingy; and a shooty-thingy that causes the creatures to deal damage to players and then steals them if that player was you.
I think, rather than playing with the stealy stuff, I'll play with the shooty part.
Devoted Druid doesn't quite go crazy unless you have a noncreature source of externalized "tap" abilities (like Kyren Negotiations), but close enough.
Storm Cauldron + Planar Bug
Purple Mana! Loyalty counters! Land as a temporary resource! Cats and dogs living together! Artwork by Dan "Everything is swirly" Frazier!
Yeah; um... wow.
So many ways I could have gone with that; I think I'll go with the Winter Orb part more than the rest.
Hmm; as worded, horribly abusive with Undying. So be it.
add space, does indeed fix capitalisation
I think if you put a space after the colon like it's meant to have, it'll expand it correctly...
Goblin Wizard + ((C11953))
So; it's going to be a red creature that... makes stuff unblockable, or gives prot white, or summons goblins.
Let's just take the average; it seems like a reasonable lord.
hmm; minor bug: UEOT expanded to lower case, rather than noticing it's the start of the rules text here.
Color me envious. It's really hard to naturally get vanilla creatures naturally. I may have to steal this one from you later...
Vastwood Gorger + ((C3236))
Hey look! A 5/6 creature with no rules text. That's what you get for 6 mana, wizards; not a 6/6 "Win the game" titan!
Is an 8/9 reasonable for 7 mana? You know; I think it is.
Nice tweak on flanking.
Fiery Conclusion + Verdant Occulox
Ok; explodo meets an... wow, an Eye Elemental. Not an Eye cow? Ok, we've got a.. what is the name for that ability anyway? "Damage is remove counters" anyway; although a VERY much better version than normal. Well; conditionally. Different, anyway.
Colourwise we've got red green and blue. Clearly then, the resulting card should be white or black. and I've got a nice black creature idea here.
