Well... Slave races are a big thing in Sci-Fi. The whole "non-human species" thing lets, let us be frank, Americans explore issues of race politics in quite blatant ways.

so the card would actually be ok as printed. But I think it gets more sci-fi if we go the route of SkullClamp...

Still; the imagery of going round implanting chips into dudes so that you can melt their brains at later need... pretty sci-fi ish.
