Is this uncommon? Maybe it could be common but I'm not too sure. Also the cycling cost might be a bit low.
Initially I also called them Lizardfolk but it was rightly pointed out that Leonin and Rhox have the race Cat and Rhino respectively.
Race changed from 'Lizardfolk' > 'Lizard'
Yeah, there were just 2 I think? In the non cycling combo colours it could be a more supportive mechanic, like if you do not need a Reach creature cause you know the opponent has no flyers anyway you can just cycle the card away.
See Shadow Broker, Shrouded Monk, Windcaller Sprite, and Temple Priest.
Changed from a cantrip to basic landcycling. Also changed from "you gain hexproof" to "target player gains hexproof" to justify the color restrictive mana cost and it being uncommon.
Here's another alternative idea: since we've been under-utilizing basic landcycling, we could give this Basic Landcycling: 1W instead of it being a cantrip. That'd also make it more mechanically cohesive with the set.
You know, this card reminds me that before this one, I think we only had one other card with landcycling on it. And we had intended for there to be more of it than that. So we will need more of this.
The cycling cost seems like it should be
. Straight cycling costs, on the more powerful end, {M}. The effect here is worth more than
but a good
.
would be pretty strong though, let's test it first.
Changed it to "until end of turn"
Nice, that's the kind of cycling card I had in mind too. Personally I like the choice between "hard cast-full effect" and "cycling-weaker effect" more than just tacked on cycling. Makes it less of a feel bad card if you don't have to wait for so much mana to cycle a card. Feels more like a "support" card and mechanic than the others.
