Changed to only prevent combat damage
Ah, I didn't see the "you". That makes it fine, yeah. Orbs of Warding is rare, mind you!
We got Orbs of Warding not long ago, and it is not entirely unlike Dampening Pulse. I do know that they avoid giving this ability to creatures.
I was looking for something to play against an army of thopters other than making your own army of thopters to block them.
This has a few small problems with it (Thopter being unable to attack unless you pay the 4R kicker, the backside's effect being a weird take on the frontside), but it's onto something. I have a few ideas for revisions, and I'll work on them a bit more.
This kind of effect is avoided nowadays, if I recall, for reasons of it being pretty miserable.
You've made a very interesting design choice here, though, that I think we could try to apply to more of this uncommon cycle - splitting the effect into two parts, with one part becoming another color. I like that a lot.
Mm, this just stands out egregiously. It's definitely a step forward from the previous design, I think.
I'm not a big enough fan of this change to actually put it into the file yet, I think. Let's keep the Manamorphose effect for now, and see if we can't find a better green effect.
I was hoping for some flavor about how the new manufacturing process makes the gear shiny but space is tight.
I am aware that I am making too many red granting haste cards. I figure we can cut one of the others if we finish this double cycle and still don't think that we have too many off color activation cards.

I preferred the tight cycle of always getting half the effect from the artifact.
new flavor
modified front side and added new flavor
added flavor text
changed to new design
now uses Interpret the Signs tech
I don't like revealing a bunch of cards while needing to keep them in order. Can we put the rest back in any order before drawing?
Actually, I remembered why I was avoiding equipment at common - these are meant to synergize with canisters. :P
You don't need a sun and moon for a DFC, continuumg... see the DFCs of Origins. They used completely different symbols.
If we are going equipment then I think it is even easier to slap a +1/+0 on there to increase the impact. Then it can do something even when you aren't attacking or when your opponent has lots of small creatures.
