Nice, I'm glad people are liking it so much. Little changes to Tyrant's Machine seem to have done a lot!
Backside was meant to be Razortip Whip. Upped cost by 1.
At the very least, it's a bend I'm comfortable with.
The front side is always two of the backside, too, which complicates matters.
Aether Fission, I would argue, is green. It doesn't accelerate, it only fixes. Red doesn't fix, it accelerates. While it isnt usual for green, it's far more in line with green than red.
That isn't black, nor do I see why that's better than the current iteration.
I'm afraid they would be too connected as land tutor, especially if the land is put into play. Both spells would put a permanent into play that taps for 1 mana. Unless you think there is enough lands/artifacts matter to make them feel different in a deck that would run this.
I like this, too
Would they still feel thematically connected if the first side tutored a land?
The first face isn't really green, but I like how you can basically just hard cast the back face as a 2G mana rock
Back face was lacking a cost
I really like this one
How about
,
: Target creature can't block this turn.
Experimenting with common Nonpermanent -> Artifact Research ALT cards. Not sure this is actually doable, but why not try it?
this is really cool flavour

this is the current p/t distribution of monoblack crocodiles: 5/1, 5/1, 4/4, 3/1. the 4/4 is Kheru Dreadmaw which i'd think we all agree is not a great card to be compared with (also it's only monoblack on a technicality)
would be sweet as a 4/1
now i'm going to go give my own monoblack crocodile -1 toughness
Fun flavor change
Hardened Berserker precedence
Ah, I hadn't even thought of that when I saw that. Postcombat main phase. It should reduce costs rather than add mana, as the berseker from FRF did.
The back side was way too good compared to Millstone. Not the highest bar, but still....
