Wizards needs to find a way to solve this problem and fast. Development has asked you to design a card, or a couple of cards that can slice through this deck without making the entire environment unfun. Unfortunately, the next set is a Core set: Magic 2017. You need to find a way to do this using cards that, at their core are either easy to understand, or are easy to grasp due to their top down nature. Good luck!

Boney Control
36 Spells:

4X Knight of the Foam
3x Epitaph Scriber
1x Cowardice
4x Anemic Rod
3x Counter Ball
3x Creaky Bones
3x Savage Bones
4x Webbed Woozle
4x Echoing Truth
4x Echoing Decay

3x All the World

24 Lands:
4x Cackling Crypt
3x Fen of Lies
3x Infested Crypt
14x Assorted Dual Lands

Note: I'm aware that this deck isn't fair. That's kind of the point. It is reflective of the occasional time a deck breaks through and you want to slap Wizards for letting, let's say, Fairies get too synergistic.

Note 2: Since this challenge is more puzzle than design challenge, try to keep conversation about 'solving the puzzle' to a minimum on this thread. Design a card and talk about it there, or, if you really need to talk about it, but can't get the card right, make a card with nothing on it but a name, link to it, and talk about it there. No floating ideas here, and no spoilers.

Ok, creating.... Iynx

FWIW, I think a lot of those cards are too good individually, not just in aggregate, but I guess, not more too good than Titans, just surprisingly good at common/uncommon. But that doesn't really matter for the purposes of the challenge, so I'll not debate them individually :)

Oh, and I forgot to say before I criticised, thank you, that's a really interesting idea for a challenge.

Amblyn Protector, Amblyn Flickerer, Amblyn Cage

I'm not suggesting printing all of those together necessarily, but they were the most obvious ideas that occurred to me. It's surprisingly hard to know what would be useful in a whole environment.

It is indeed a very interesting challenge.

I'm still thinking about my response, but I came to wondering about already-printed cards. I wonder how far Great Sable Stag plus Sigarda, Host of Herons would get?

They'd probably do a great amount of damage. And both would be printable for a core set.

I came across one reprint that was so appropos, you'd swear I designed this deck around it (and is perfectly suitable for a core set). I'll point to it later. I'll give super props for anyone who thinks of it.

Alex: Good point, "protection from blue and black" (and "can't be countered") is perfect.

I created Flamespittle Goblin and Rekindling Flame. Discussed a couple of other approaches in the comments on Rekindling Flame as well.

Going through adding Challenge37 marks to all the cards, this deck is more subtle than it looks. And it looks pretty darn subtle already. Very fun challenge.
