Yow. I guess Wizards in 2016 thought Warped Devotion needed an upgrade.

(This was created as context for Challenge # 037.)

Amusingly, I only found that card whilst searching for answers to this card. But yeah; that card would have fit this deck just about as well, I'd think, since you don't need it on the board until you're ready to start bouncing crap. Maybe turning this into that would be part of the "Slow down that deck" answer, I'm not sure without knowing more about the environment :)

I'm pretty sure Wizards wouldn't do this. For the sake of believablity, I should have just had Creaky Bones cost {1}{b}, like Liliana's Caress is to Megrim. But, for the purpose of this challenge, I wanted the threat of Creaky Bones to be prescient. Had I thought that Creaky bones was dangerous at {1}{b}, and people disagreed with me, there could have been a lot of confusion in this challenge. This way, Creaky Bones is a monster. It may not be 'the thing' that breaks this deck, but it's certainly a problem.

It's good as part of the challenge of the puzzle too; since this leaps out as "Oh crap, this is the problem card" but... well, it's not the only problem. Avoiding spoilers, but this card after all needs something to trigger it; and the deck has at least two other axis of attack too. Still, this card names the deck (misleadingly... well done) and turns "I control board state" into "And you will never recover" which is pretty clearly something that needs dealing with.
