You can now use amass to go wide if you desire. Also goes infinite with some cards and sacrifice but that's a 3 card combo. Hardly broken in 2023.
Uncommon, but likely it's no good fit for a given set.
High ward costs just go wherever hexproof goes.
You forgot "Pay" and a comma. Compare: Garza's Assassin.
I'm skeptic whether "you" will ever be used in a ward cost given how confusing it could be whether it refers to the player paying the cost or the controller of the card (though there are clearly distinguishable wordings for each case; players will still have issues telling them apart if they are not next to each other).
What rarity is this?
Firstly, I don't think the first ability is templated correctly. Are you able to sac creatures anytime to untap? Or do you have to sacrifice a creature during your untap step?
Secondly, what's the flavour of this? Okay an excavator can destroy lands. Kinda makes sense. But what about this is ensnaring? That usually has something to do with tapping. And why does it need blood to become re-energised and untap itself?
Thirdly, why would you want this effect? I thought we all agreed that land destruction was bad? Why do we now want a (albeit, a slow and cumbersome) repeatable LD rock?
Used dude1818's wording
Typically the decision to pay would be made in turn order. It also seems like it's supposed to be "For each of X target tapped Cats, destroy that permanent unless its controller pays
"
The wording is weird. Do the controllers have to coordinate? Can they trick each other into paying?
