Base cost should probably be
: cf Lightning Blast and Char. But this is a nice common-suitable burn spell.
Thanks, guys, I figured there might be a templating problem there. Fixed it :)
Take a page from Disrupting Shoal here.
"As an additional cost to cast ~, exile a blue card with converted mana cost X from your hand. Counter target spell with converted mana cost X or less."
Interesting card. It's almost like Force of Will, except without a normal mana cost and greater restrictions. It may actually be fair.
BTW, you can't really target in a cost, so I think this should say "As an additional cost to cast Phyrexia's Will, exile a blue card from your hand. // If the exiled card has a higher converted mana cost than target spell, counter that spell."
Changed it back to its original version since it's much cleaner and this is just a concept card anyway - the time walk effect was put in there to make it a little bit more playable, but it works just fine as a Timmy card without that extra clause.
I just had to make this card, especially because it gives me the excuse to create a "legendary enchantment" LOL
Yeah, I think it's kind of a neat idea :)
Plus a random pair of symmetrical Mindslaver effects thrown in for the fun of it.
I actually think symmetrical Mindslaver effects are a really good idea. Because you can build your deck to be quite hard to harm your own board position. Whereas anyone with, say, a Bloodthrone Vampire, let alone a Putrid Imp or a Zuran Orb... :)
Well, no, that's not quite what the card says. It's still your extra turn, but your opponent CONTROLS it, as in Mindslaver. He gets to see your hand, cast any spells from it he wants, tell you what creatures will attack, etc. Then, you get to do the same with his next turn. After that, the game goes back to normal with you getting the next turn.
Wheeheehee!
Crazy, crazy sub-game card. It creates a game of chicken, where you are looking to use your opponent's cards to either kill themself, or attack yourself to the lowest life total possible without actually going below 1.
Um. Ok, so I take the next turn; but my opponent gets it. Then that turn ends, and it would be their turn, but instead, it's mine. That turn ends, and... it's my turn.
So "Take an extra turn, at the end of opponents next turn"?
I think this is the card that Wizards meant to print - a cheap counter that any Legacy deck could play that would hurt the blue 1-mana cantrips, but not slow the starts of aggressive decks.
