fix bug, sadly making the wording a bit more redundant
"It always irked me that in neither of the planeswalker cards for Sarkhan did he assume dragon form himself, considering he does so all the time in the storyline." - Looks like Creative agreed, and printed Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker with this ability just for you. ;) He even does it as a + rather than an ultimate!
Created by Mass Ascendance. Still a fun concept, though not something I'm expecting Wizards to do this decade.
It really needs some stopping clause, though.
This is a somewhat-conditional one-sided wrath; that even invulnerability can't avoid. And then it hangs around to do it again?
Ooh, it's a one-sided Last Laugh.
It's meant to be a red version of Silence. It ended up being a fusion of Silence, Ignorant Bliss, and Suppress.
Huh. It's Suppress, but giving the cards back too early. Admittedly with a side order of hosing those annoying draw-tons decks.
Somehow I didn't realize that. I wonder if that's problematic or not. I feel that the colorless mana and the restriction does limit a bit. Ah, well. I'll leave the problem for development. ;)
Ah! Right, that makes sense, I miscounted the power. I thought one of the others was only 1 power and the memnite was needed to reach 4, I totally forgot 2 plus 2 added up to 4 :) But yes, 5 is better in modern :)
Ooh, Memnite would be even better - that'd be 5 power on turn 1. I just chose Ornithopter because that's in the current Standard.
That was supposed to be Memnite not Ornithopter?
Hee. As it happens something similar was proposed on the Goblin Artisans weekend art challenge yesterday: search for "Jeskai Enclave".
Fun t1: Ornithopter, this, Soldier of the Pantheon. 4 power on turn 1! But you've utterly manascrewed yourself by doing it.
The trick to this card is that it actually isn't really a land. You can't get mana from it two turns in a row. It's a free Grizzly Bear... in fact, it's a free Quirion Sentinel. That uses up your land drop, obviously, but still.
Interesting. Functions as one-shot acceleration, potentially on turn 2, because you can sac a tapped Blooming Meadow to get an untapped Forest. Only happens on turn 2 if you have a t1 artifact and a t2 play, though - can't power out a 3-drop on turn 2, though it can get you a 4-drop on turn 3 if you've curved out.
Just to be clear, I would envision this as part of a right cycle.
I'll be honest in that I've got no idea what the power level is here.
