This one is giving me some trouble. I'm not sure how to format it really.
Yeah, I figured I'd have White go down a defensive path for this kind of effect. It just felt better to me.
Nifty. Tokens that stick around but have defender. I can definitely see this being useful.
Since my originally white one became red, thought I might try again with making a white card with no mana cost that works from the hand.
There we go, it has haste now. So now it's more useful.
added the Haste granting to the ability.
(*whisper* Still needs haste)
Changed color and activation cost.
Oh yeah, haste would be very helpful in this situation. It would probably make this card red though, as I don't think white really has or gives Haste. I mean, that wouldn't kill me.
It's pretty damn nice if you've got a sacc outlet though; this is effectively an emblem with that ability...
It's not very powerful if the soldiers don't have haste... :P
I decided to make another card with no mana cost that did nothing on the battlefield, and no way to put it onto the battlefield. This one may be way to powerful, but I seem to be rather poor at getting power level right. It's definitely something I need to work on. This one's probably even more powerful than my other one, From Whence They Came, considering you don't even have to do anything other than draw it really. Oh well, again, it was mostly just getting the idea down before I forgot it.
I missed Link's comment somehow and yeah, that wording should have been more obvious to me, especially considering it is suppose to be an activated ability. I raised the cost, but that may still be a little strong, for some of the very reasons link listed above.
Upped Rarity and reworded ability. Removed color indication text and used a color indicator.
Dropped "Legendary" Supertype and added Rarity.
My original plan involved putting it onto the battlefield, and the "Legendary" supertype is just a remnant of that I guess.
Why is it legendary? It's not like hard-casting one, then hard-casting another one to put one of them online, is even an option.
This is reminiscent of Bridge from Below, except that this has no way for your opponent to get rid of it.
, Exile a card from your graveyard: Put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield. Activate this ability only if ~ is in your graveyard and only any time you could cast a sorcery."
The line that declares this as black is obsolete due to the introduction of color indicators, which have been implemented on Multiverse.
Is the zombie-making ability meant to be triggered or activated? I'm assuming activated due to the "reminder text." If that's the cast, it should read "
I'm sure that this is too powerful, though of course, I'm not a developer. The only way for your opponent to interact with it is by exiling your graveyard, and it's very easy to get this online by milling yourself. Then the cost of making the tokens is incredibly cheap. At the very least, I would require exiling creature cards.
Wanted to try a card with no mana cost that A) Doesn't have cycling, suspend, or splice and B) have an effect in the graveyard.
I figured making a zombie maker that functions in the graveyard is a start. Not sure if it's too powerful or too weak or whatnot, but I wanted to get the idea out before I forgot it.
I did!? Man, sometimes I have like 0 memory of all the cards I make.
I meant alongside the one you created... sometime in the past few weeks, I think?
Yeah, Zoe was up very early this morning :/
Another? You mean alongside Aven Mindcensor?
You're up early, aren't you?
Owch. Another rather painful response to someone cracking a fetchland.
