Charhead Overlord + Future Sight
Make creatures, draw cards, go bananananananas.
Hmmm. Sac a creature to be allowed to cast the top card of your library? That's kinda interesting. And the blind chance element is nicely red.
Name just snapped into place.
Thanks. It seemed the red way to do things.
Um, give it a P/T; standard utility creature size
Um, give it a P/T; standard utility creature size
Niiice.
Scrub Beast + Relentless Assault
Hexproofish, and "Attack Again"
"~ can attack twice a turn" ...you know; I really like the idea of slapping that on a creature, and letting the rules fight it out. (The natural way, I think, is three combat phases in a row; with ~ able to attack in the third only if it didn't in the first; and everything else only able to attack in the second.)
But; wrong set for that kind of shenanigans.
"When ~ becomes enchanted, it may attack" is very tempting too. (Especially if you get someone to drop one on it outside your turn.)
While ~ is enchanted; you have a second combat phase each turn?
Heh. "During your second attack each turn, ~ is enchanted" is pleasing; but useless.
I think we'll go with the simple, pleasingly useful, and minor version.
Vigilance is KINDA like "Can attack twice" right?
Hisoka, Minamo Sensei + Catfight
Ok, repeatable fiddly counterspells, meets... steal a small creature from your opponent, if it's bigger than 1/1 and smaller than any other creature you have (and make it a bit smaller still) for a really odd and small cost.
Could go all sorts of fiddly ways here; but temporary creature control seems like the way to go.
Reminisce + Diabolic Tutor
Awaken the Wild + Island
Hummm. A fatty finisher (Endless Swarm variant, I think); blue shifted. huh - blue got Eternal Dominion and Blue-Red got Epic Experiment but the obvious variant that gives you a spell a turn doesn't seem to exist.
So let's do that.
It's a problem about the Gatherer in general. The same happens at Wizards's forum.
The legend only got there from the flavour text. It shouldn't really be there, I agree.
I half want to say 2this feels far too good for the small cost increase" and half want to say "Hang on, it's not 128/128! What gives?"
The phantom ability is not always an upside.
Nice card. But I don't like uncommon legends too much.
Lifeforce + Charging Loxodon
A slightly overpriced War Mammoth there? So what about a prot black for that cost? Phantom Centaur says 5/3 and upside, Chameleon Colossus says you get 4/4 and upside. Let that upside be trample; and done?
Name mash leads to an obvious outlet. And makes it legendary. (Is "Infamous" a keyword yet?)
I've noticed that before, with just that one card. I don't know why it happens there. The images are produced by Gatherer's Image Handler, which doesn't always give quite the same results as Autocard.
Woah. Auto-card chose the most recent version of Regeneration, which happens to be the German spelling for the spell Regenerate. I was unaware autocard would work for other languages, but now it seems like an obvious thing to do. Zu den Waffen!
Edit: Sturmkrähe. Zweiköpfiger Remasuri. Huh. Maybe not. What did Vitenka do right?
Don't care, and don't care ;) You're lucky it says "Aura" and not Enchant - Creature or something confused like that.
Cost wise; yeah, I thought about just one. But it's pretty splashy, and seems like an obvious counterpart to Regeneration so I went with two.
It could (and should?) cost just one.
(You're missing the "enchant creature" ability, and that's not deathtouch's current reminder text, by the way.)
Hah! Yes, I did intend to hand. And I thought 1/2 but we'll mix that
It's more normal to search for equipment based on their CMC, not their converted equip cost - which as you say can be weird things like Piston Sledge. White gets to search up equipment in any old way (Steelshaper's Gift, Stonehewer Giant), so either is fine in white's pie. Should this be 2/2?
BTW, be aware there was a stupid broken card called Stoneforge Mystic that played in this space and was eventually banned. That was broken because it got whatever equipment you wanted for just 2 mana and then bypassed mana costs; so this is safe because it's harder to get your stuff blocked and this doesn't bypass... um... actually, what is this meant to do with the searched-for card? Put it into your hand, or onto the battlefield? At the moment you find it and then shuffle it away.....)
Is it meant to be "cast during/since their last turn", or "cast before their last turn"? Are you meant to be able to sac creatures with summoning sickness, or ones without? At the moment it's ones without, but that doesn't seem to fit what you're saying.
add 'converted' to equip cost? I think that's sensible (Otherwise "hey, this has cost 'pay 2 life', is that less or not?")
Trinket Mage + Seed: 1464276965
(Which is: Creature - Human Cleric (3/1, white)
All Clerics can block an additional creature
Whenever one or more creatures becomes blocked by one or more creatures, you may pay (W/U)(W/U)(W/U). If you do, search your library for a Forest card and put it into the battlefield, then shuffle your library
Converted mana cost: 1 )
Ok, nifty "Clerics can block" plus land search plus artifact search. Well, replacing the land with.. white.. equipment search is probably nice.
Sadly, that probably makes the card splashy enough that the double-block thing is wasted. So leave it off.
