fix quotes
Yeah, this and Intrepid Captain lasted the longest of the HC gold cards in my original shortlist. They're both great designs, but balancing a set involves cutting lots of great cards.
deactivate, as it's hard to colour balance. it's a pity though as it's a great card.
deactivate. Leave in the Lurch is better for the slot
promote to rare. makes sense - you're making a Fathom Mage
deactivate. there's plenty of removal in both these monocolours.
deactivate. this is a pretty obscure reference where the alternative, Storm of Vengeance, is more plot-relevant
and so the cull of gold begins. deactivate: it's fine but the other three WU are much more important
I like this card, though.
deactivate, as it's just hard to colour balance things like this.
deactivate. The Rainbooms are in the set and there's no room for two GWU rares/mythics
deactivate. very sad. but the other Sunset Shimmer and Erase from Existence are
rares too so there's no room. hopefully I can keep Phoenix Ascension at least.
I actually am quite scared of what this can do in multiples in limited. The key is that you don't need to pop it until you're literally about to die. So two of them plus a Song gain you 15 life. Two of them plus a Stalking Slime gain you 6 life each time you chump block. Or you could have Decorated Detector or Contraband Haggler making Treasure tokens, Royal Detectives or Shadow Spade making Clue tokens, you get incidental lifegain from your random blue bounce spell Seal of Failure or your random draw spell Conclusive Evidence or when you pop your Crystal Prep Banner...
I think this could very much be the Ill-Gotten Inheritance of the set, the common enchantment that people are dismissive of at first but ends up being a top common for certain decks. Meanwhile someone will have fun trying to build the four-colour deck with this and The Rainbooms and The Dazzlings. (That latter I think actually is probably underpowered, but as I said elsewhere, I'm not designing these cards or making tweaks to them, just selecting them from FOME's designs.)
Not every deck will want it, certainly, but that's fine.
uncommon -> common

Healing Salve for
? Really?
I can see how it got here (lifegain on sacc, nice boost for black songs; hmm, but it kinda needs to do something itself, better make it self-trigger at least) but the end result isn't very sensible.
I need to cut a blue uncommon: either this or Catch Red-Handed.
For this, the big downside is there are too many 3-mana cards in blue uncommon. For Catch Red-Handed, the big downside is there's already two kill spells in blue uncommon, Exit Stage Down and Siren-Swayed. Maybe I lose Exit Stage Down instead.
Hm, somehow this never got imported. It needs to be deactivated, anyway, since there are too many blue uncommons and this doesn't actually do much.
deactivate, very sadly. too close to Regretful Gorgon, and there are three 3-drops and that's the only 5-drop.
The set symbol needs to be jewels. So that it can be the rarity indicator :)
Ok ok, punnery over. I guess if soulbond is intended to be a huge feature of the set, this can be common? It's not too strong, it's not too complex.
deactivate. nothing wrong with it, but too many 3-drops in green
