Rainbooms Songs

A decklist built around The Rainbooms and a whole bunch of the Song cards in the set. Full visual decklist here. Optimised for diversity rather than focus because I want to playtest a bunch of different cards in the set at once.

 M
Legendary Creature – Human Band
Finale — Whenever you sacrifice a Song, until end of turn, The Rainbooms gets +X/+X, gains flying, and becomes a Pony in addition to its other creature types, where X is the number of verse counters on that Song.
Whenever The Rainbooms deals combat damage to a player, return target Song card from your graveyard to your hand.

 M
Creature – Beast Band
Finale — Whenever you sacrifice a Song, create a token that’s a copy of Wild Chorus.
By the time Fluttershy graduated, every animal within twenty miles of Canterlot knew her voice.
Illus. So Much More To Me

 U
Creature – Human Artificer Band
Protection from Sirens
Finale — Whenever you sacrifice a Song, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
Many listen to music. Some play it. Only a select few live it.

Lifegain Artifacts

A deck inspired by a cluster of interlinked build-around cards in white/blue: Triple Scooper and Snack Psychic want you to gain life, Nerd Chic wants you to have lots of artifacts and enchantments, Faerie Bootmother and Sunset Shimmer like Equipment. Triple Scooper's reward for gaining life is proliferate, so there's a subtheme of counters. Again, the deck is definitely aimed more at diversity (apart from the buildarounds) for playtesting purposes, rather than a tighter focus for pure efficiency.

 U
Creature – Human Citizen
Whenever you gain life, proliferate. (You choose any number of permanents and/or players with counters on them, then give each another counter of a kind already there.)
{1}{w}: Triple Scooper gains lifelink until end of turn.
Illus. Mirror Magic
1/3
 U
Creature – Human Shaman
Whenever you gain life, scry 1.
{w}: Snack Psychic gains lifelink until end of turn.
Visions come to her unbidden, some from arcane insight, some from sugar overdoses.
Illus. Pinkie Pie: Snack Psychic

 R
Creature – Faerie Artificer Wizard
Flying
You may cast Equipment spells as though they had flash.
{1}{w/u}, {t}: Attach target Equipment to target creature with the same controller.
No other species can hope to understand what passes for faerie logic.

Sealed 3: RWb Songs

From a sealed pool where the other options I considered included a RB burn deck and a Ubr "villains" deck. This pool had 5 Songs and 4 Bands across these 3 colours as well as a couple of Guitar Solos, a Style Scout and a Glittering Eruption.

I splashed black for 3 removal spells instead of playing some of the less-relevant creatures (Vlogging Athlete, Arrogant Surfer, Coal Elemental).

Sealed 4: GRb Aggro

From a sealed pool where the other options I considered included a WGu artifacts deck with Nerd Chic and Backup Supplies, and a WRg deck with 5 Songs and The Sound of Friendship. This is a bit overloaded at the 3-mana slot, but the whole set skews that way and there's not very much I can do about it because the source material skews that way even more so.

Creatures: 13

Noncreatures: 10

Lands: 9 Forest, 5 Mountain, 3 Swamp

Sealed 2: WUB Sacrifice

From a sealed pool where the other options included R-u aggro. Apart from red this pool is removal-heavy and creature-light. I was sad to have to leave out the Cupcake Fountain Expedition which digs out Piecake Eating. I hope all the card-draw gives me time to draw into the mana, as there's no mana-fixing. No Shiny City or Crystal Prep Banner... There is a Canterlot Banner in the pool but I wouldn't be able to sac it so it'd just be being a (((Seashell Cameo))), which ain't exciting.

Creatures: 12

Noncreatures: 11

Lands: 7 Island, 6 Plains, 4 Swamp

Sealed 2: Ru Aggro

Another build from the same sealed pool as above. This was built as Red-x aggro; I chose blue for the cheap Humans since the red side topped out at 2x Transformed Courser but didn't have many Humans. Takes advantage of the pool including Faculty Lot as well as the Salvaged Wreck and 2x Tandem Bicycle.
