But it needs you to be playing fossil creatures (which is under your control) and the opponent to also be (which is not). So it's a sideboard card for "My opponent is running more/better fossil creatures than me, but I'm running some." and is hard to cast on top of that.
I costed one higher than Cyclonic Rift's overload. I'd prefer this effect at instant speed.
I'm also not following the naming pattern of Amonkhet block's Aftermath cards. I only plan to do a single cycle here, only because I really wanted Meteoric Wrath.
There might not be any goblins in Gaddgar, but I'll name cards in their spirit.
This is very nearly "Protection from non-blue creatures".
Which; ok, sure. Why not?
I wasn't going for intimidate in blue as much as I was going for making the evasion more flavorful in a blue take on Armored Ascension.

Well, it's a fossil instant, so there wouldn't be non fossil creatures around when the spell is cast.
Oh, it can only fight fossils? And it's dual-colour? Will anyone actually run this card?
reduced cost from 4 to 3
Added lifelink and menace since it was clear I was going off of rw evergreen abilities.
Gave a more generic creature type. Now I will group all non-saurpod herbivores together.
When did nonland lose the hyphen?

Removed vigilance
Eh, a desert isn't something I'd want for Gaddgar. To be fair, I also think the art reflecting the card's color is boring.
I reckon you can get away with it, just use a white sandy desert for the art.
I thought about using Sun instead of Heat in the name, but that didn't jive with the jungle in the flavor text.
Heat makes me think it's a red card
"Become too weary and you'll be easy prey for a dilophosaurus."
Wise words.
