That's a tough creature to cost nowadays. I've noticed that Wizards seems fine with a 5/5 for

with no drawbacks, and a good ability at rare (Deadbridge Goliath). So a 5/5 Flash, reach, first strike creature for

? Maybe? I did try to look up large vanilla creatures with flash to get a read on how much mana Wizards thinks it would cost to add... but there kind of isn't any. Well, there aren't any big dumb flashing 8/8s. Cloudthresher was the closest I could get, but it's got too many widgets, and it's too old to get a modern reading.
Odd that 'Elemental Beast' has appeared in the creature type box of 7 separate creatures. But Ball Lighting or Provoking on a large creature kind of asks for that combination, new or not.
It's a pity the text here is so tiny. I assume this card wouldn't be in the hands of many new players, and that when it does, the eight power prompts them to read their card anyway. If any of these cards want to not add the counters to themselves, it's possibly this one, since it's going to go away at end of turn anyway, and I can imagine games where neither the red counter or the green counter would do much. Not many games, mind you...
Was Costed 7, now costs 6... I suppose there are times when your opponent has no creatures, and this is just a 3/7 lifelinker.
Black/Red is tricky. In theory, I want the choice between which mode you turn your creature on to be different based upon the state of the board. Since I want something that looks a bit like a Ball Lightning in Red/Green, I didn't want to double up and have "High power, low toughness for life gain or tackling creatures" on this one.
I think this one gets there, though. It wants to be blocked... but there will be some games where your opponent must block a 3/7 lifelinking creature anyway. You set it to red if your opponent wouldn't care to stop the 6 point life swing, and you set it to black if your opponent has to start chumping anyway...
I keep vacillating on casting cost. Lifelink can get be a little crazy on a 6 power creature...
Alex mentioned on Stoutheart Glitterwing that it may be a good idea to have these cards say put counters on any permanent when they come into play. I think he's right... though it's annoying how 'target creature you control' is so many more characters than 'it'. I'm thinking on it. I don't want to edit 15 cards, then edit them back.
Well, it does gain flying if you give it the ability... but yeah, I get that. I'm trying to warp a traditional white and a traditional blue creature. Pro Red is evidently a fairy ability, so I ran that. If I could come up with a different 6/3 in Red that felt better I would... but I like Angel Faerie better than Angel Sphinx or Angel Djinn, which don't seem to solve the problem.
I also did think about letting the counters fall where they will. It's tricky but I think you're right, Alex... few will notice that you can put them where you want, but... uh... I probably did it that way due to length of text restraints. 'it' is much shorter than 'a permanent you control'.
