Corrected wording for sorcery speed limitation- source ( http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&text=+[this]+[ability]+[only]+[sorcery]+[activate] ) , 'tap two red creatures'->'tap two untapped red creatures'
Restricting both abilities to only red creatures seems a bit much complexity for common. Also seems like a odd choice of direction for the card.
Defiantly could remove the color restriction. I didn't exactly know what the flip side should do, and I'm not very happy with what I came up with. Looking for alternate suggestions on this one.
Maybe it should simply deal 2 damage when it attacks? Would be more red, and simpler, which is something we should probably focus on right now given how complex a lot of these DFCs are.
Removed color restriction on front side, changed back side to deal damage on attack.
rarity: common >> uncommon
That's kind of cool! I don't remember this card. Somewhat strange to me to think about the balance for a creature to deal damage to players when it attacks, as far as the 2nd side. But it might work. I also wonder if something more interesting or synergistic could function as the transform condition.
There will eventually be a Phoenix design at rare/mythic that will use DFC techn to mirror Rekindling Phoenix, because that's just so evocative.
This might just be the blueprint for it creeping up through the rarities. :)
