An inspired concept based on what you're talking about doing with Stalking Horror. I originally was thinking a variation on this that puts a card in your hand and then rest on the bottom of your library, but we're talking commons.
It's a Portent effect though, I'd rather have the variant you are talking about.
Would it be doable at common though, at a reasonable mana cost, you think?

Depents on proper development. Right now common is mostly full anyway.
Please do not just put the new text, when you change a card. Everyone can see the new text, it's the previous text that gets replaced that you want to keep a record of.
It's mostly full, but also has a number of cards that could easily be replaced.
I'd argue this or something like it could replace Yaados Visionary.
Yeah, but Emori Seer is already listed as competing card. I added this one as well, but I like the shorter rule text more right now.
I recall, that there was a conscious push to reduce the amount of discovery in common in white, blue and black.
It's true that Red and Green are supposed to be the stronger Discovery colors.
BTW, Xibal Shaman from my branch would fit perfectly into the UG02 Unbound slot, which has no contenders. And I recall you liking it.
With the new Unbound, an artifact like Solar Crucible also could potentially fill UA01 or UA03.
