It's kinda strong with all the DFC's running around in other sets though. Transforming the Sparkers, the Demon Land etc. without jumping through the hoops is a tad op.
There are literally green instants that straight up kill fliers at common, the question isn't whether we should bump it up to uncommon but if we should replace it with one of those; Plummet, Clip Wings
I'm pretty sure that this kind of effect is fine, they had it in EMN for Werewolves only but it cost
less, was common and an instant; Waxing Moon. Don't know where color this effect belongs in but I guess the changing aspect of blue makes sense.
Basic card to have in the set since we have Unbound.
My only question is, shouldn't this probably be bumped up to uncommon? Except in the case of really big fliers, this effectively is "destroy target creature with flying". Wing Snare does that as an uncommon for 3 mana. Correct me if I'm off about the precedent for just how cost-effective green damage vs flying can be at common. Though, if Aerial Volley can deal 3 damage divided as you choose to any number of fliers for 1 green at common, maybe this is acceptable too.
Riffing off of Unsubstantiate and filling a blue control function.
Trying to get creative here with the transforming thing. I wonder if this concept of simply transforming a DFC independently from its normal transform trigger is problematic though?
General idea for a support card for decks that make heavy use of DFC.
Changed to affect a single opponent and brought rarity down to uncommon.
Yeah I think this is fairly balanced. Leaf Gilder is pretty much the same but with +1 power and without Unbound. Could be a bit of a problem with instant speed effects but green doesnt have loads of them at common.
Is it? I understand that Llanowar Elves is considered to be more powerful than originally thought of, and giving it Unbound does increase the power, but this also is at CMC 2. I figure it's not so powerful when it's not a 1st turn drop. I guess I didn't see it as being OP if I increased the mana cost to 2. In my understanding, your mana pool still empties at the end of each step, so this can't be abused to accumulate mana over multiple turns.
Oh wow, that is strong.
Well, let's check if it can be sustained in the off colours. If it's too hard to do we should confine it to niche cards. Basic functional cards have to be available without any caveat though, so I don't think that's a good place for another restrictive ability.
So Regress then. Why not just reprint that (i.e. use the name), at least for now?
Fills out the Llanowar Elves/Elvish Mystic function, with the added twist of Unbound.
Generally, I agree that we shouldn't overdo it in the off colors. But there's space for it on the off-colors for some basic functional cards I think. I can see the argument that both my card and this together takes up too much space though.
"By the way, would it be ok to add the archetypes onto the front page?" Added them to the details page for now. I don't know if we want anymore stuff on the front.
