This was initially inspired by seeing Ashna's description as having to do with Pyramids. Then I looked up what mtg cards have to do with Pyramids, to find that there's an uncommon from Arabian Nights simply called "Pyramids" which lets you pay 2 mana to prevent a land from being destroyed or removes an enchantment from any land. It's an overcosted card at 6 mana. This is more to the point.
'must sacrifice'->'sacrifices'
I'm actually having 2nd thoughts about this adding +1/+1 counters instead of just turning the land into a creature with P/T equal to your Discovery. Especially as an early drop it's weak, likely giving you little more than a 2/2 creature land.
Comparing to Ensoul Artifact, which turns an artifact into a 5/5 creature for 2 mana, even if this is switched back to turn a land into an X/X creature with X = Discovery, it'll take time to have the same impact and reach 5/5 or more. But at least it'd have a chance to. If it potentially being able to make a land more than a 5/5 creature is a concern, we could just scrap the discovery part and make it turn a land into a fixed 5/5 creature.
An attempt to fill the common monored land destruction slot, while riffing off of Discovery's "lands with a different name" shtick, except this cares about the opposite.
Changed to deal damage to a creature or planeswalker instead of a creature or player.
The rules complexity of them is pretty high. They are interesting though. I'm not sure.
Well, I'm already biased in favor of the versions you just made. Lets see what the others have to say.
Made some DFC creature lands just to see if people prefer them over the man lands. We could do some weaker ones at uncommon that are creatures on the front side and flip into creature lands if people prefer then man lands in this slot.
