That edit stated should have said "Wanted a 'Mighty Leap' effect.
Wanted a "Might Leap
Added mana cost to the ability.
No, I don't recommend casting the Kalmia and then immediately casting the Subverter. That would be a bad idea.
Antipode Kalmia then Vastal Subverter kills the Kalmia before the triggered ability resolves :(
Otherwise, I think it sets the P/T to 2/2 (but I had to think about that for a while...)
Earlier, when both qualities were "plus one", I had this bad feeling about it becoming the best combat-creature on board at all times. That it now dies to anything with power 1 or less is a weakness I can appreciate. Plus, you can put it in a deck with Vastal Subverter for maximum fun!
Man, my Kobolds and Dragons deck that's shaping up in Mashup: The Gathering would hose this card...
Not just weak against walls, but against any random 1/1...
Yes, I think this is a good pair of cards to have now.
Made it more "UR" by making it a mandatory trigger that's weak vs. Walls. Also, it's funnier.
I was going to suggest something like this, but was afraid of sounding contradictory in my comments. I like where this and Soul Corruption are now... they read much better.
Note: the comments in this thread actually belong to (((Soul Corruption))).
Simple.
Pushed the ideas behind Six Low Notes to Uncommon. Now it's a quasi-Annihilate
My instinct tells me that you should incentive full price. If a player pays delve to take less damage, then draws another, more important delve card, that player will be unhappy. I like stress in my design, but being forced to choose between two known things is not as frustrating as being forced to choose between an okay effect now, or a great effect that may never appear.
I can't decide if I should incentivising Delve or if I should reward people who pay the full price.
I came to this design first just because of its similarity in function to Vendetta and the power of "destroy target creature" without any reservation. But I just don't know...
That's an interesting take on it, yes. I don't think you'd want it on more than one or two cards.
