I hope Sway of Opinion and Obsolescence demonstrate the natural antagonism between Blue and Red, while asking that color to do something somewhat against their nature.
Now part of the 10-mana Mythic cycle.
Moved down to Rare to better benefit that tribe's function.
Now white's contribution to the "sorta 10 mana" cycle.
Made mythic, add flavor text.
Decided it was so powerful, it at least has to be Mythic, if not toned down as well. Need to playtest it.
Moved to Mythic
Figured it deserved a reprint, alongside Deconstruct and uh... hmmmm... I'm pretty sure there's another direct reprint. But whatever.
Is this too Johnny?
Now a Mercenary.
In essence, it's a Yawgmoth's Will variant, so I don't know how incredibly busted it is. Delve is hard to evaluate.
Right. Monocolor decks have no problems, same with pseudo-monocolor decks that only play hybrid cards.
Multicolor decks aren't completely shutdown, but it makes things cumbersome. You can play a green spell, then a black-green spell, and then a black spell. But you can't play a green spell and then a black spell.
But again, the difference between this and Mana Maze (that I just implemented), is that this only takes into account the spells you're casting. Whereas Mana Maze asks you to account for what your opponent just played.
So... this shuts down 2+ colour decks which aren't playing hybrid/gold cards?
Simple addition of "they've", thus circumventing the initial problem.
Thinking about this a little more, I'm pretty sure this is hideously broken. I realized that blue can basically shut down the opposition by casting some piddly instant during their opponent's upkeep, thus making so any nonblue deck can't cast a spell. Ever again.
Hmmmmmm...
Nice! Bit small for a mythic, but otherwise very nice.
